Historic Florence Arizona

Florence Arizona was founded in 1866 by Indian Agent Levi Ruggles. Ruggles was a veteran of the Civil War. There are 25 building in Florence listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A famous female spy lived in the town and married the sheriff of Pinal County in 1879.
