Birthday is very important especially to back to the time of which you were brought into this world and to see where you re going.on Monday I celebrated a great milestone of my birth. I am sure I can be your grand mom but I have very dear friend. We sing in the same choir. Second soprano. I made savory last evening and asked to stop by then she said okay . Whenever I try any thing new I call another friend who is also in the choir to test this out but he said o h I just got in from the gym i to le it’s okay someone else coming.any who she came and sampled and though it was burnt a bit said of court can work . My plan for Sunday becauseand another on Thursday so we all will celebrate on Sunday again. When I told her my age she told me NO Ithought she was kidding but she said you are the same age as my MOM but you are younger. From Sunday to now,people are telling me Happy Birthday. I was somewhat annoyed at my younger sister that I did say thank you,I was here alone eating my leftovers and brought some drinks for the members but they didn’t drink much of it so I will it again on Sunday. I was so tired so I went sleep after but I woke up almos midnight and was haunted that I did not say thankyou before midnight I told her I willl when Iget around to it.Idont think it was her place to put this on face book. If they all had sent me 500.00 each Iwould be able to repair my house that would have been more meaningful to me. Though I am grateful to all who reached out to me and sent me greetings. I sincerely appreciated. But force someone to something that someone else put out there on your behalf. Let me get around to doing it my self. I will be celebrating p to theme of March. When there are other persons of groups I am in ar celebrating their birthdays as well.

Here in Denmark birthdays are a must. But not big parties. Just family and close friends who are invited for a cup of the/coffe/chokolate and some cakes in the afternoon (mostly weekends). Only at round birthdays (30/40/50 and so on) you may invite for an evening party with food/wine/drinks. It is so different from my husbands homeland Ghana where people don't celebrate birthday I think for the same reasons you stated😅 but wauw how they can celebrate weddings and funerals😂 and as a guest you get the presents, which is the opposite!
