Penuel was very subdued during the Orania discussion, considering that he strongly supported the concept on his own show. He had an opportunity to debate it and was found wanting.
In Bolivia you have old German and Japanese communities keeping to themselves. They support local business, produce great products and pay their taxes. It is not seen as a crime and the locals respect their views. The moment the word Afrikaner enters the conversation, it becomes political.
This is the problem with Penuel's intellectualism. He's conflating social inequality (which is just a state of economics) with cultural segregation. Sizwe put that excellently by the way!
This fixation ….🤔. Why? It is like the Amish in Pennsylvania OR Bo-Kaap. Not every village in SA will welcome white people, and it is a non issue. 0:02 Maybe people should strive to be self reliant. We are like a giant fruit salad - bananas, apples, orange & grape etc., all in one bowl, but yet distinct and individual.

But Orania is pretty chilled. A beacon of hope. We can all have our own little Oranias, but who am I fooling? All black people want to do (including myself) is drink and sing biri marung
Bro, you have nailed it... If black people don't want to develop their communities and Afrikaners build their own, based on their culture and beliefs, who is to blame..? Should we blame Afrikaners for taking full responsibility for their lives..? And yes, black people in the township just wanna drink and dance...
If Dali Mpofu charges advocate rates,he's not accessible to the average person. Does that mean he must lower his rates to accommodate everyone? No. The discussion here is socialist social engineering one, which NEVER works. What we need is a capitalist system with strong social programme's and no corruption, which will equal the playing field. There are shops I personally can't afford to shop at, I don't expect them to discount the goods for me. What do is shop where I can afford, work hard and save my money. The fact is if you take away the incentive to do business and carve a niche market (or mass market at that matter), people stop doing business. That's the point that privileged woke ideologues like Mpofu Walsh don't understand because they have never built something, but only read textbooks about building something.
Just what do you mean they have never built anything? That's a shallow statement in my opinion. It has no basis for validity. I could simply ask you now... What have you built? And if you re saying Mpofus have never built anything as a race, then I will tackle you accordingly. That said, pls slow down on your racism if your statement was racially directed. Because it's an untruth.
@Steiung listen bro, stop being race obsessed. I'm talking about a woke ideology, such as the mindset of Mpofu Welsh. There are alot of people who think the way he does,in that I mean academics with no practical experience in building something. These individuals tend to be purely intellectual with little practicality, they also tend to be privileged and seem to think they can play with economic and social structures without consequence. I call them Socialists, you may call them something else. In reference to building something, and in answering your question, I have built businesses, two of my own and then some other people's businesses. Any individual of any race (I deal with a number of black business people), know that your incentive to do business is purely capitalist, otherwise what's the point?

I agree wholeheartedly!

Yes like Afrikaner nationalism.
So sad that freedom appears only to be freedom if it suites a certain naritive
The Amish have their religionious communities and schools. They speak old German and ride horse and buggies and shy away from modern society.
@@BlackApache17 we know that.
It is still their choice to do so…
We know that…
It is individual choice… that is the point
Why are you crying ? People should be allowed to build their own private communities. Who cares what they believe in?
I wonder if you would feel the same if your neighbour was killing dogs.
@tebohotsoari9912 keep wondering 👍🏾

The Dr said shared history is why they are alone in the room. Contradiction? Then he says race all the time.
Indeed, a valid point right there...

Penuel is not as smart as I originally thought
Explain yourself please.
