Arrival Honors for His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, and Signing of the Guest Book

Upon the invitation of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, embarks on a historic State Visit to the Philippines from 21-22 April 2024.
The President warmly welcomes His Highness the Amir at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañan Palace today and accords arrival honors to the state visitor.
This is the Amir’s first visit to the Philippines; the last time a sitting Amir undertook a state visit to the country was back in 2012.
According to Her Excellency Lillibeth Pono, Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, this high-level visit is a strong indication of flourishing relations between the two countries and reaffirms their mutual commitment to further elevate the already robust ties.
After the arrival honors, President Marcos Jr. invites His Highness the Amir inside Malacañan Palace to sign the guest book before commencing their official activities.
