What is the advantage and disadvantage for the using hydraulic cutter and battery operated reciprocating saw,during this incident.

I suppose the biggest disadvantage is the danger that using these tools pose. But if these tools weren't used, the casualty would have to have been extricated in a way that could severely damage their spine and could cause death.
