Yes, you can't get Katie's music played on the radio in the US. Even on the "adult contemporary" stations ( like New York's WLTW). They're already playing Michael Buble and Norah Jones, so they figure they've got the "adult pop-jazz" genre covered. And the "youth-oriented" Top 40 stations won't even play Norah or Buble. I've been wanting to see Katie live for a long time, but she's never played here in South Florida :( (I've seen Norah twice and Buble once.)
Adele's music is aimed toward a younger generation which is where all the songs on the radio are targeted. The US hated Katie's "House" Album and she didn't continue her tour in the US after the breakdown. There's also no scheduled shows for the SS album. I hear her music if you go into Bookstores in the US, otherwise you need to listen to Euro radio.
