My solos are all rats or people teaming or just encountering a legit duo because the matchmaking System is broken. There's no point in running early game gear once you have it unlocked but if you so because of the matchmaking it's a coin flip on being up against super geared or free loadout runners. There's no reason to go back to bright sands anymore. New players aren't really coming to the game to try it out and the gearbased matchmaking System doesn't even work in my region, if it is in yours its still easily cheesable with the way it was implemented. But the main reason it won't happen again is because even if you do gear down and have a full lobby on the same level of skill and gear as you once the quests are done, that's it. There's no reason to play outside of grinding money and pvp. Looking for pvp specifically and defending yourself and your 2 sample containers are a completely different situation with different feelings
@@SpoonFPS appreciate the answer! You're actually right. And now I am wondering if rushing through the missions was a good idea. Now there is only pvp left and almost no missions. On the other hand, it was the same with the wipe. Rushing through missions and collect a nice stash for pvp before the wipe. Not sure if the wipe/no wipe is the problem or my approach. It always got boring after doing the missions, and yet I rushed through them as quick as possible to finally focus on pvp. And for what? 🤣😅
Adding wipes again is a terrible idea, Ive already put 200 hours into the game and loved every minute of it BUT just getting to the questlines for the drills and oil and shit. Just now understanding the forge, imagining myself going through all of that again in a couple months makes my hard earned playtime useless
Honestly, I think they already added a system would make wipes more bearable in form of free loadouts. I this game needs new seasons with wipse and changes to actually be interesting.
I uploaded a video about 3 months ago detailing how to make the game succeed while still maintaining wipes. 4 points 1. Free loadout system (was a great change). 2. Purchasable gear up to blue through quest unlocks. 3. Quarters progress does not regress with wipe. 4. Shorter wipes (2-3 months at a time, being extended a week or two with new content each time). All of these changes basically pushed players to quest, make money and give them a baseline of blue armour in the mid-end game. Which would then oush them to forging and farming high end mats for exo or purple, more of a gentle nudge guiding people to the end game pvp. A wipe would then allow them to get better with the quests each time, progressing faster and faster and better and better
@@SpoonFPS the problem with wipes is that people will just get too burnt out because repeating the same stuff without new content is honestly just a waste of time and boring for most. We need both wipes and new content. The idea of buyable gear till blue is a good one. Since most games are full of whites, purple and exos. I think a gear matchmaking like there is on bright sands for crescent would also be a good implementation.
Yes and the moment they started handing out exo guns, keycards, even legendaries it was blatantly obvious they put 0 thought into the economy/gear distribution balance
I was voiping with him, asking if he needed a guide and that I could show him his quest locations if he wanted. He was devising a plan to gank me with his duo the whole time however, I heard him and then Voiped "there's 2 of you, nice try" or something like that
That's fair, just way too much gear in the game right now and busted matchmaking. 0 point in going to bright sands and no new players really coming in leads to purple/exo's vs free loadout kits pretty much
Devs just don’t care ab the game cheaters this last week have been through the roof oh yeah also big nerf coming to guns to really balance the game “reduce speed on ar-55” WOAH really did something there Yager 🤦♂️ the amount of time I’ve wasted on this game with so much false hope.
I haven't played in 2 weeks and I feel happier and free. I basically had a drug addiction problem with this game. The highs were so frequent and juicy with the first month but then it progressively got worse with desync, cheaters, bugs, balancing etc to the point that the highs were few and far between and I spent much of my time angry ... at a video game...
@@SpoonFPS couldn’t have said it better…tbh rn just waiting for the release of marathon games are kinda dry atm cycle was promising but we see how that went.
I'm Pretty sure there will be a way to convert this game into a better non-wiping game, it will just take more effort. The game was designed and balanced to be wiped in its current state. I feel like the maps should have a min value brought in so that you don't get free kits or white smg rats on Cresent and Tharis. ex you must bring 15 kmarks worth of gear for Cresent 50K for Tharis or something along that line. The main reason I like this game is because it feels more casual than other loot n shoots. I can play this a few hours a week, still do ok, and have very little time in-between my raids meaning I'm actually playing more!. As a casual player I've never unlocked any gun more than the Exo hammer, and have only been able todo very little of the late game activities. If they brought back wipes I wouldn't be down to grind out the quest again, its just not worth doing. I'm sure there is a way to redirect the game, who knows a good non wiping loot n shoot could be what saves the cycle, they have to be able to differentiate them selves from the competition.
@@SpoonFPS wiping progress and starting over will attract only the masochists. You could allow for manual wipe with some benefit, like PD2 infamy, but that is still not enough Game is buggy af, no content midseason, no events, not twitch stuff, no advertisement, cheaters and weak compensation system. It's not about wipes. Wipe is the laziest approach and it'd sure make some people leave as well Heck, make a new expo shotgun, add this mufakin ICA legendary rocket launcher, a white dmr, a blue one-shot grenade launcher Maybe a new creature tease and a new map tease Fix fucking backpack which we can't sell from It's not the wipes
@@GreenFlame16 All valid criticisms. I'm personally a fan of wipes, I know some people aren't. The Cycles has many problems, a large one being catering to casuals though. I understand their approach as they wanted more new players to come to the game but what they should have done, and any game should do, is to listen to it's hardcore, dedicated playerbase as they are already there day in, day out. Creating a satisfying end game gameplay loop (through new content...) to keep those players playing allows for more growth than changing things that push those players away.
I miss this game so much
Why will it not happen? There is still plenty of people with low tear gear running around. At least in my lobbies 😂
Facts I run low gear on purpose

Howler shouldn't of been the main focus of season 3, it's a terrible fight and adds very little to the overall experience outside of frustration

F wipes, I don't want run around collecting all that shit again, I want just PvP and loot for crafting
All pvp now is getting rushed by free loadouts or stomped by sus players/desync/bugs with a very small point of actual, enjoyable pvp
