I can’t believe you watched pirate king and say my name then crazy form 😭 the nostalgia is insane they grew up so much 🥹 they have a pretty good discography so diverse and unique 👍🏻 ateez is from a small company called KQ their lore is in every music video they released and I don’t think the majority of the fandom actually understand it lol but basically they’re pirates traveling dimensions and they have alter egos called “HalaTeez” so you’ll see lots of ships in the sky and another version of them dressed in all black with masks and hats that’s their alter egos! I recommend Halazia and guerrilla and Hala Hala.

Ateez are the most famous for their live performances so a lot of their title tracks in the last couple of years is energetic, even powerful but they also have so many brighter, slower or softer songs. They always keep us guessing and we're always thoroughly entertained :)
The first rapper you spotted is Hongjoong, he's the leader of the group, aka the captain, he's also a composer and a sub vocal. He has absolutely insane charisma and impeccable fashion sense.

As other commenters have mentioned the most important thing you need to know about Ateez is that all of their music relates to their long and anime like story line. Each of their albums/eps/mini albums is one episode of the story, and is titled with a chapter name and episode name and number. There are usually about 3-4 episodes per chapter. And each chapter starts with a mostly blank slate because Ateez are pirates that were gifted a magic hourglass (called a Chromer) that allows them to travel through time and across dimensions. At first they are just having adventures and searching for treasure, but eventually they meet up with these bad guys with chains where their faces should be. The no face guys are from dimension Z, while Ateez is from dimension A, but there is another version of Ateez from dimension Z called The Black Pirates. Also known as Halateez, who are the enemies of the no face guys. Those were the guys in the black hats in Say My Name. Ateez teams up with Halateez to fight against the no face guys, but somewhere along the way Halateez goes missing, and in the current chapter (called The World) Ateez ends up in dimension Z instead of Halateez, where they find that the no face guys are running the government and brainwashing people to be emotionless robots that can be easily programmed. Ateez sets up a subversive movement to take down the government and restore emotion to the people. After 3 episodes of this we find ourselves in Crazy Form. Ateez job is almost done, they just have to take down the leader and go back home, but the Chromer is broken. It broke at the end of the Deja Vu music video. So Yunho and Wooyoung are in the lab trying to build a ship that can travel between dimensions without the Chromer. Jongho’s and Mingi break into the lounge where the high government officials of dimension Z do their business and start shooting it up. Meanwhile the other members are inciting the people and being rounded up by the government, but they just have to wait until Jongho kills the leader and Wooyoung finishes their escape plan. If you notice the first scene and the last scene of the music video are the same except in the first scene there is a crescent moon and in the last scene a full moon. Ateez can only time/dimension travel on a full moon. I think if you watch the music video again knowing all this information you will notice a lot of things you missed before.

Cannot recommend these boys enough. They are legitimately one of the best groups out there. The quality in their videos is also something to behold. I personally will recommend that you check out Deja Vu, Guerrilla, BOUNCY, The Real and Halazia next. Especially Halazia, as it is, in my opinion, the most cinematic of their music videos.

they debuted with the concept of being traveling pirates but their lore is insane. on crazy form mv you can see them fixing their pirate ship. all their mvs are connected to each other. check out guerrilla and bouncy which are all part of the world series (which also has insane mvs packed with insane lore)
4:50 did you peep that, that's luffy's 2nd gear on their choreography. ateez are anime fans espcially mingi who takes his hairstyle inspo & stage outfits on anime characters. he has done rengoku (on their halazia mv), saiki k (during their tour), gojo (during deja vu promotions) and a lot more.

You couldn't have chosen a better 4th Gen group, in my opinion. They debuted on October 24th of 2018. And they debuted with a double track. One was called "Pirate King," and the other is called "Treasure." So yes, you actually did see their debut.
So, a few of your questions that I would love to help out with. First off, their name is pronounced like "A-tease." The meaning behind the name is much deeper, however. You see, ATEEZ means "Everything teenagers go through, from A to Z." AtoZ or ATEEZ. The fandom name is similar. We are called ATINY, pronounced "A-teeny," and it's a combo of two words. And those are ATEEZ and Destiny. The group has said that the fans will always be their Destiny.
ATEEZ is one of those groups that, from the very beginning, has a very detailed, very in-depth, incredible storyline that runs throughout everything they do. From music videos, like "Pirate King" and "Crazy Form," both are part of the storyline. But the storyline also runs through every live performance. They also have "variety shows." And sometimes they will sneak in a piece of it into those. They have well 3 or 4 of them. However, my two favs are "WantedTEEZ" and "StesserThings. " These shows are really a great way to get to know the members' personalities.
One of best things I can tell you, look for a "guide on ATEEZ," now there are a few of them, however my mind is drawing a blank on the creator, but if you look up a guide on ATEEZ, I believe the most comprehensive and informational will be either the first one up or the one with the most views, and it's over an hour long. But so worth the watch. It does help so you get to the groups, their music, and the members as a whole.
I have gotten away with this post, and I apologize for such a long post. But allow me to give you two more things and I will take my leave. First, you are a k pop fan, I see that the collection behind you, and the cutout doesn't hurt either. So I'm pretty sure you have heard of "lines" within a group, like vocal, performance or dance, or rap. For ATEEZ, they have one special line that I have never heard in k pop. The line is called "The Demon Line." Which includes three members. And the guide will explain who and why. And last, you mention Pentagon, and I am also a Universe. The only thing that they really have in common is that they both are amazing groups, have powerful singers within the group, they both have writers and producers in their groups. Their personalities are a bit similar as well. Crazy and unhinged in the best possible way, in my opinion. I miss Dawn in Pentagon, and I believe lost their way for a bit after he left, but even with a couple in the military right now, Pentagon I believe is finding who they are. Our boys with the "Shine."
Again, I'm apologize for such a long post. I wanted to give you some info without going overboard. I think I failed. However, can't wait to see your next reaction sir, and thank you for reacting to the guys. They are so worth the time.

I'm so glad you liked them, thank you for your reaction!! 🫶 Ateez are super talented performers and they take part of writing their songs (2 of them are producing as well).... actually for me they got no bad song, but let me recommend you my fav mv's- the real, turbulence, guerrilla, halazia, bouncy (I just deleted the part of the list cause I realized I'm counting all the mv's in random order).
An important thing to know, there's a HUGE storyline going on since their debut (you probably noticed that the debut song is called "pirate king" and there's literally a pirate ship in "crazy form" mv). Fun fact- we call our leader captain. In the end of mv's are usually spoilers to next albums(songs), so make sure to watch till the very end 😉
I just want to make you more interested hehe, cause it seems that you already are and it would be fun to see you getting deeper to ateez

Welcome aboard the ATEEZ pirate ship! I love Crazy Form, but I can’t lie, Say My Name is on my top5 title songs from them, so I recommend the other 4 in that tier:
    1. Answer
    2. Inception
    3. Wonderland
    4. Wave
(If you want to somehow follow their pirate-y multiverse lore I recommend watching it in releasing other, tho since I only recommended a few videos, you wont be that inside the lore)
Btw, from what I catch you called them correctly (pronouncing similar to 80’s)

Hello and thank you for your reaction. If I could make a recommendation, I would say, listen to this entire album, The World - Ep. Fin: Will (the most recent that contains Crazy Form). There is a good mix of genres and it contains unit songs so you'll be able to hear the individual members more. While many Atiny love the title track songs, Ateez have some amazing B-side tracks. In fact, some of my top songs are B-sides. Also, if you're able to attend a concert, I highly recommend it. It's a song-packed show with lots of Atiny energy.

Literally watched their debut, Pirate King, their first ever comeback, Say my name, and their newest comeback 5 years later. Sure makes it crazy to see the growth so harshly like that. They often used to do double title tracks, so the song Treasure is also the double debut with Pirate King, so you could check that out too, and than HALA HALA came out with Say my name. Crazy form is a solo title track though, but you could go back to their last comeback as well, Bouncy. Also I think Captain Hongjoong may be calling to you. He is the rapper with the higher tone. You pointed him out after the first 2 videos. You also noticed San lots (green hair in PK, red hair in SMN and CF) and Mingi as well, the brown jacket with animal print pants in SMN.

  • @DigitalGlitter
    @DigitalGlitter 8 месяцев назад +2

Thank you for your reaction to Ateez! You are awesome for picking songs spaced out through time to see their growth. They have some really amazing title tracks, but what really sets them apart are their amazing live performances and B-Sides. So you have a lot to discover!
If you choose to choose videos in the same way next time, I suggest Inception, The Real, and Halazia. OR Answer, Turbulence, and Utopia if you want to check the vocals…
    Their lore:
Ateez has an entire storyline that is carried through almost all of their tracks, MVs, and live stages starting from their 2018 debut. It is pretty complex but the basics are they are a form of multidimensional, time traveling pirates (think more like underground, government overthrowing pirates than sea pirates, but they do incorporate some traditional pirate elements). There is World A (our world) and World Z (Strictland…where they are in this video). In Strictland, emotions, art, and music are banned. There is a movement to overthrow the government (the Black Pirates), which is what is happening in this video.
The MVs stand alone, but if you want to know more about where they are in the lore, you can react to the related trailers and teasers along with the videos:
    Guerrilla (the battle begins)
    - The World Movement Trailer 1
    - The World Movement Trailer 2
    - Guerrilla MV
Halazia (this is a spin-off that shows the beginnings from the point of view of people that were there)
    - Spin Off From the Witness Prologue
    - Halazia MV
    - Spin Off From the Witness Epilogue
Bouncy (they are in hiding with different roles… this is the release right before Crazy Form)
-The World Ep. 2 Outlaw Official Trailer
    -Bouncy
For an earlier taste of their storyline (2018), there is the Zero Fever Diary Film that came out before and is tied to their Inception MV. It shows their beginnings in World A (our world) and how they got the cromer in the first place.

Thanks for the reaction. Glad you enjoyed ATEEZ. They are super talented performers, singers and dancers.
They have a huge storyline that is connected to their music videos, that's why it felt to you that there was so much going on in Crazy Form. They are time travelling/inter-dimensional travelling pirates. If you watch Crazy Form again, you will notice that the members split into pairs for the scenes and they are playing a part in the storyline, which is basically a revolution against the government in the world they are currently in, which is called Strictland, where all forms of emotions and art are banned/outlawed.
But the fast pace of the MV, in my opinion, is because they are in different settings. It's like an action movie. 🙂
There's a LOT more to their universe and I won't even pretend to understand all of it, but it's super interesting and creative. If you are interested in it, I'm sure you can find plenty of explanations that are much better than mine. Hope to see more ATEEZ on your channel. 🙂

gonna try to keep it short for you!
    1. a fun fact would be that the rapper that caught your eye (hongjoong) was actually the first trainee at KQ and started the entire group as KQ wasn't looking to create an idol group at the time (they were just a company for producers and composers).
    2. you actually did react to their debut song, pirate king! i'm sure you'll listening to more of their title tracks later on, and while ateez is known for making very danceable and headbanging music, their b-sides (and even other title tracks) display their wide musical breadth and experimentation with genre mixing.
    3. some songs to get to understand their musical range and experimentation would be: guerrilla, halazia, turbulence, dune, cyberpunk, this world, eternal sunshine, fever, utopia, mist, inception and celebrate! it's hard to keep this list short but they truly mix so many genres and cover so many types of music that it's hard to recommend some without recommending it all!
And if nothing else, I'd encourage you to check out their latest album The World EP. Fin: Will as it features their wide range of musical experimentation as well as Subunit songs for the first time!

Yesss my pirate babies!!! I'm glad you checked them out and enjoyed the songs. Pirate King was actually their Debut as the first Group from their Company KQ. KQ was very small and unknown but thanks to Ateez they managed to grow bigger which also shows in their MV Production over the years. They are such fun, kind and lovable humans and amaaaazing performers - especially live. Incredible Rapline, dancing and singing , they have it all. They really go through a lot of different genres in their discography but still manage to stay true to themselves. Also their Lore is pretty present in everything they do, be it lyrics, Promotions or MVs. You're alway in for a treat when you watch their Videos. Would love to see you check out more of their Songs, most of them are pretty hype but they also know how to make slow songs and are amazing singers!!! :) My recommendations would be: The Real (really good MV), Guerrilla (my fav song), Turbulence (touching and beautiful) + Wonderland and Answer are AMAZING they also have Kingdom Performances for those! As a Fan i want to praise them even more and recommend all of their songs haha but you should really just see for yourself if you enjoy them!

Hi! Thanks for reaction bro. PS> This is gonna be a Ted Talk lol-
Take your time, this Group has a lot of lore and information. They come from a small company and are basically legends to the upcoming groups in k-pop. Even though, they are young themselves. They have only been in the industry five years (this year was their Anniversary and they released their 2nd Full Album after 4 years with Solo and Unit songs written n produced by them) and have changed the game.
There's 8 members and ALL are incredible Performers, vocalists/rappers & dancers. They are called the "Standard of Performance in K-pop". There's only 1 English Speaker (he's still Korean), but the members try to learn English.
You reacted to their debut song, Pirate King and it will be referenced in later albums n songs, as it connects to the lore, as well as their history. They were literally broke and "started in the desert". Now they have a junior group called Xikers and recently one of the members mentioned that they now have 100 staff members after starting with ten. So their company, KQ is very small n family like (though flawed still). Say my Name, made news recently as Ateez first song to be on the new JUST DANCE 2023 and Crazy Form made Atinys proud and nostalgic due to the quality and growth, not to mention it coming out on an Album with unit, solo and duo songs.
Seonghwa(pronounced Song wha) The oldest- he's the statue of liberty in Crazy Form(crown of throns n sash outfit + dark hair, corset outfit) he's a vocalist & 2 visual, insane performer and kinda like a mom (but bullied most of the time) to the group (we love him tho 😭), he's also a lowkey rapper & a part of the demon line (you'll see why). He was paired with San as fighters/protectors/performers for the MV (the lore is confusion lol)
Hongjoong (pronounced Hong Joon)- the Captain, he's the one running from the cops and has brown hair in Crazy form, he's an amazing rapper (giggles before or in his raps, nasel tone rapper) n a lowkey vocalist. Ateez & Atiny don't call him Leader. He writes, produces for Ateez and leads the group. (Short and Intense lol).
Yunho (you know)- Main Dancer -love his movements- the gray haired one in the room tinkering away with the beanie on lol (he was paired with wooyoung for this mv), Performer and Vocalist (very stable even when doing choreo like wtf)- he's a great dancer, always teaching the members and helping them with choreo decisions (he's our big puppy and the tallest at 6'1). He was leading the dance a lot too.
Yeosang (yoh sang)- (fluffy green hair and doing the taki taki dance part, he was also paried with hongjoong for the mv as troublemakers) hes also a stunning Visual, but a unique- Deep and soothing- Vocalist & Performer (stares into your soul like u noticed and get some of the hardest choreos, lifting members, dropping to the floor with 1 hand), likes to be called a doberman lol.
Mingi (min gee)- Rapper ( doing the rap with the deep voice, in the dodge challenger before he crashes and drinks milk in the bar, he's also paired with Jongho - but has blond parts in his hair) Writes with Hongjoong and an absolutely dirty Performer ugh🤪but he's pretty introverted and sweet.
San- (paired with Seonghwa, white shirt, red hair and grey pants for crazy form- starts the song)He's an Insane Vocalist, Dancer, Performer and Part of the Demon Line (you'll see what we mean). His name also means Mountain.
Woo young (pronounced oo young)- (does the body body, twerk dance on your screen, cute eye mole (dot lol) and is known for his cackle of a laugh- i love it tho) Dancer, Performer, Vocalist, always with San (choreos too, you will see). Rebellious but loyal🤭He has a softer vocal, very light but can be powerful. You said you like more softer songs, then you'll love his vocals on it possibly.
Jongho- the best 4th Gen Vocalist (I said what i said), beautiful Performer (ps, he's had limited parts in crazy form due to an injury, he was paired with mingi, in suit with the gun scene) and he's the youngest (he's also the one belting out vocals) and is our haribo gummy bear☺
Our fandom is call Atiny, which is a combination of Ateez and Destiny.
As you may know, K-pop is known for lots of beat switching and lots of pleasing visuals but Ateez didn't rely on visuals, especially when they first debuted (see Hala Hala). They also switch up genres a lot, rock, punk, sea shantys (lol) even softer songs.
Hope you like the songs and check out their albums or past songs. I would recommend Utopia Live uploaded by Sanie, the Precious+Treasure Mix, Mist and Take me home, all youtube but please be careful when choosing lyric videos, they mess up who does the lyrics a lot. Instead, try the user *sanie's* uploaded videos of the live dvd performances for an even insane-r experience (you'll see) even if in your free time.
Also Inception is what made me an Atiny, so please react to it, it's just amazing. Also check out the full album too in your free time n try the user *sanie* on yt for the concert versions, they are OUTSTANDING.
Again, thanks for reading this and getting into our Pirate/Cyberpunk/Anarchist/Boys lol🏴‍☠😂 and reading this mess.

If you liked say my name the most maybe check out fireworks - (I'm the one), Answer or for some ones I'd be interested to see your reaction, Deja vu, Hala Hala and Turbulence 😊

16:15 Bouncy and Crazy Form are both very colorful and chaotic. If you don't know the lore, also confusing.😂.

I'm gonna comment on your choice of first MV's too, cause its interesting choices 😅 I've been listening to kpop for 3 years and I know and listen to A LOT of different groups (mainly male groups) and ATEEZ is propably one of the groups that has developed most, musically. They're experimenting with different sounds and styles and each member I also trying out new things and developing their craft, both their vocals, style, performance and rap. This is rare in music groups, because both the label and fans tend to lock a member into a certain role and position in the group, however ATEEZ has somehow managed to break that and you'll find all the members trying at vocals, rap, main visual, center...
'A lot is happining in Crazy from'... yeah 😅😅
However, if you know the ATEEZ storyline, then it actually makes perfect sense, all the chaos 😉
ATEEZ have a very worked through storyline. Basically, all their songs and MV's are connected, because the story was written and music planned with ATEEZ's debut. The three songs and MV'S you heard/saw, are 'chapters' in the same story. 'Pirate king' and 'Say my name' is like when the story really takes off. 'Crazy form' is like a point of no return, a show down... you're basically missing the entire plot, so no wonder you felt a lot was going on 😅
Because theyre all connected in the same story, there are A LOT of important placed details in each MV, with references to earlier MV's and the overall story. 'Crazy form' is definitely no exception 😉 and it's fun, as a fan, to find these details and eastereggs 😊 One of the biggest references/similarities between 'Crazy form' and a former MV, is probably their 'Wonderland', from 2019. Then there's a small detail, connecting it to their 2020 song 'Answer' and their 'Bouncy' from earlier this year.
Furthermore, there's a detail connecting it to the story prologue, which the song/MV 'Inception' (and Dear diary film) from 2020, is part of. Both 'Answer' and 'Inception' is connected to the MV/song 'Halazia' from 2022... There's the 'Wake up, wake up world... Are you there?' Which is from 'Propaganda' the intro for The world EP.1: MOVEMENT' and is basically the beginning and the reason for "The World" series.
We got the 'A' and the 'Z' appearing a few times in the 'Crazy form' MV, which also has an importance to the story. Then of cause the pirateship, which is essential to ATEEZ and the story as well, since their overall concept is pirates 😉 We first see the ship in their 2019 MV 'Illusion' and it has a central role in their 2022 'Don't stop' MV. In the 'Don't stop' MV, you'll also be able to catch the name of the ATEEZ pirateship - 'DESTINY', which leads to the name of ATEEZ's fandom - ATINY; a combination of 'ATEEZ' and 'DESTINY' 😉... 'Crazy form' also have some purposely placed and choices of styling, which is yet another thing... then there's the chromer (hourglass), the foes, the allies, the moon and that damn spin off from the witness with the bluebird... there are multible trailers and like MARVEL, ATEEZ have 'postcredit teasers' at the end of each MV, teasing a bit about the next title song and further plot...
Another small fun detail about the 'Bouncy' and 'Crazy form' MV's is that you'll actually find the song titles of the other songs on the album, in the MV 😉
yeah, it's a lot 😅😅 but fret not! It may be a complex story, but I consider myself being pretty well caught up and I've been an ATEEZ fan for barely two years 😉😊
