We might actually already know the new roles. On this year's April Fools update trailer at 0:24 there were 3 new roles under shapeshifter: phantom, noisemaker and tracker. It might just be an april fools joke but who knows??

@@Revainogamerz it's not confirmed they said they will do something similar but it's not going to be named sheriff or detective. So I think that role is going to be tracker and they'll be able to track down the impostor or something like that. But we'll see who's right

@@t3li5 idk man. I think they will add detective seeing as they literally confirmed it coming into the game like 2 years ago along with the shapeshifter and engineer yet it never got released. Now would be an amazing time to finally realize what they’ve teased for years!
@@surgewarrior6882 get your facts straight it's sheriff that they "confirmed" in the Summer Game Fest 2021 trailer along with the scientist and someone asked in a reddit ama, where is sheriff and they said they will do something similar to sheriff but it will not be named sheriff. And they never said anything about a detective role as far as I know.
It would be really cool if they gave the maps cosmetic alterations when playing in Hide and Seek mode, such as the glass of the O2 terrarium being broken, the emergency meeting table being overturned, or the stations where diverted power is accepted being ripped out of the walls, barely hanging on.
With the new roles, from the 'Use them carefully... or not." makes me think that the jester will be one of the added roles.

Tracker(crew role) track others to see where they are going
Noise maker(crew role) when killed there is a Noise and an arrow showing where it is
Phantom(imp role) turn invisible

Impostors are invincible to everything exept getting voted out so if there was a role where crewmates are invincible the game among us would lose its meaning entirely so yeah that's why

I do hope they add the sheriff role that is the one I would like to see the most although idk

I've just watched it, the new roles do sound interesting can't wait for update, although no sheriff hopefully it may get added at some point in the future.
