Have you tried different ammunition on the Jetfire? Maybe 50 years ago the ammo gun powder was stronger and thus the blowback and reloading was more reliable. Maybe you just need different ammo and maybe it is available on the market so you can use the gun your dad gave you, which somehow sounds like the best option, given that there is a way to clear the jams.
Hi, I appreciate the suggestion. I’ve tried different ammo, and even got a new magazine from Beretta which definitely helps. But the gun is just finicky. I just fine trust it. And I’ve seen similar comments from other users, even with newer models.
