- RFK Senate confirmation hearing LIVE: Today the Senate will hold a hearing to consider the nomination of Robert F Kennedy Jr., of California, to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.
RFK Jr. (son of Robert F Kennedy who was assassinated in 1968 while running for president) has made headlines with controversial stances on vaccines and other health opinions seen in contrast to "Big Pharma" and the medical and scientific establishment.
RFK Jr. has been a Democratic for most of his career, but switched to being more conservative and Republican minded in recent years. He entered into the 2024 presidential race, being on several states ballots, though ultimately withdrawing and claiming he was not running. He gave his support to President Donald Trump, and encouraged his supporters to go with the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, even using the phrase Make America Healthy Again in response.

Time constraints are horrible. There shouldn't be any. My opinion. Public is horribly served when there is a time limit on response and each senator only gets 5 minutes. It should be open ended. When the person is trying to respond the senator says RECLAIMING MY TIME. INTERRUPTING THE NOMINEE. Shouldn't happen.

I'm a big advocate FOR science and I don't think most people get the philosophy of science at all. There is no such thing as "settled science". While RFK's rhetoric might be hyperbolic or seem strange or go against the norm; when there are facts that don't fit "settled science", we have more work to do. In fact, in science the work is NEVER done because we NEVER have a theory which will be 100% certain. So, from both an Ethical and a Scientific viewpoint, we should continue to question and research things like causes of Autism and to know WHY there has been such an interesting increase in the statistical numbers.

How can we trust pharmaceutical companies when they have legal immunity for vaccines? Ever since they were granted that protection, the vaccine schedule has expanded dramatically. Removing this immunity is the first step in a long process to restore public trust and accountability in the industry.

Sen Hassan sometimes it takes going back over data to come up with answers. My daughter was in a program that monitors growth from birth. At 11 months she started showing signs of delay. After early preschool and head start at age 4 she was seen by a school district Dr who suspected Autism. At age 8 she was diagnosed with. Many other parents have similar stories so there is a possibility immunization have something to do with it. When you don’t know what causes Autism how can you say what doesn’t. After the last head of the CDC and the last Administration lies upon lies who would trust the data you claim to uphold. Plus your own parties over exaggerating and lies about recent events about the Medicaid portal.
That’s right! My child has profound Autism. He just totally stopped developing and regressed into his own world. 11 years old, diapers, can’t speak. Our whole life is and will be his care. He has had Genetic testing and that’s not a problem. We need to know what is causing this so that it does not continue to happen to these children. Nothing more important than our children.

I know that sugar is added to so many of the things we eat. I read labels on everything I buy. I also go online and reseârch any prescription I am given. I found some of my prescriptions should not be taken together. Im so glad I take responsibility to do these things because it isnt done now . I also know for a fact that it's much more difficult for poor people to eat healthy. Healthy eating ís more expensive period

I heard a very humble and open Bobby Kennedy, who simply wants to follow the science and approach vaccines with scientific due diligence. Figure out why the small farmer has to pay to participate and promote their crop to sell. All these USDA fees and farmers market fees are causing us to lose any money we can use to keep our electricity and next seasons crop to be harvested. Selling at wholesale is a loss to the farmer.
