And it's not like the technology for a smell sharing and recording technology never existed. There was a very highly developed product in the '90s that did this but the problem is that they just had absolutely zero good use case ideas. The best idea they thought of was going to a car website and having the smell of a car air freshener hit you. Very 1990s ideas. But they could totally put that in a VR headset now. Of course, for videos like this, I would mute the smell. Lol

I'm a former home health aide, so I would go into people's homes to render care. Older people frequently struggle with their medical conditions and untreated mental health issues. I once had a patient who was a prolific hoarder. Sweetest guy, but his unit reeked of dog and garbage. Hoarding is a result of multiple factors, and is considered a medical condition. Judging someone for that is like judging someone for any other medical condition.
What I saw from older patients was a determination not to acknowledge their mental health because it was considered weakness. So depression, anxiety, OCD, etc were ignored and subsequently so were their symptoms. Add to that COPD, cancer, dementia, etc, and very quickly you end up with situations like this.
A lot of times the only reason things changed was because a family member or other caregiver got involved. I imagine a lot of these rug cleaning videos have a family member looking to clean the rugs.

Amazing transformation! Where did you find this one, James? It always amazes me how people can just toss aside their possessions once they’re done with them. I hope you’re able to find someone that will really appreciate the rug once you’re done

I'm fairly certain it was dirtied for the video. You can see how fresh and new the carpet is underneath. Most likely they used mud or even a paint that's easy to wash off for the video.

@@andrewbell9929Really dude?! That wouldn't be kept secret for very long; it would hurt the business and RUclips followers would straggle off.
Besides, the cleaning process is pretty much the same as for other rugs (except I imagine there was extra attention to deodorizing) and there is the same amount of dirt cleaned out as in other videos.
Your comment reads like you are trolling.
      Shame on you.

@@andrewbell9929 If you had seen some of his other videos you would have seen them with grass growing in them, and housing worms.

@@andrewbell9929it says in his description that he accepts any rugs from his followers in the uk to be picked up for free and be cleaned to be returned or donated. Also some of the rugs has obvious signs of plant and bug life being on them sometimes! I really don’t see how his videos could be faked
