Maan ko tum 10A ko measure karne wala ammeter banana chahte ho. When you pass 10A current through ammeter ..... Then shunt resistor ki value kuchh is tarah se choose karni hain ki 10A mein se Ig current galvanometer se jaye and baki current (10-Ig) shunt resistor mein se jayegi. We know maximum current that can pass through galvanometer that is Ig And we know range of ammeter that we want to make (I).......to shunt se kitna pass karega Bhai (I-Ig)
