I'm turkish but i know i was byzantine before the turks came from asia to anatolia. I've always felt a deep connection to greek culture before i researched about my origin. Many years ago i was invited to a greek wedding and when i heard the same sounds of the same music i immediately felt so much joy in my heart. This music always goes straight into my heart and makes me cry and boil my blood at the same time. By that time I didn't know anything about the history of pontos. I stood up and danced the “horon” with the greek guests. We knew we had the same culture and it made us happy. My mother is originally from Samsun and my father from trabzon. My DNA test told me I was 40% greek/south italian. And i feel it in my heart us turks know that we most likely have the same genes. Let's make this place a better place. Let's emphasize our commonalities instead of living apart with patriotism. Everything belongs to everyone. Greetings ❤🇹🇷🇬🇷
