Everything is so clean and stylish! I think you can learn the 360 frontside no comply flip with no trouble at all, it's very similar to the big heel ones. 🙂
Thanks Ross, I really appreciate your comment - I keep watching your videos, you have so many sweet and creative tricks I want to learn! I have come close a few times but haven't tried to commit yet - I'll share when I get it!! I really want to get that one and the 360 backside flip like Richie Jackson does, ;)
Dude this takes me back ...I'm 48 and started skating again last year and I was still able to do Frontside 360 noncomplys . I can just do them naturally but back side my brain just can't compute LOL .... This was freaking awesome . .. I still remember watching Natas do these for the first time. After watching the vids I'd go out trying them all day with my buds. Anyways my back condition won't let me skate anymore 😪 I really was hoping to have some fun . I tried for a couple months but I have pinched nerves in my C7 and 6 . I've already had surgery on my lower back L5S1 disk and now my neck most likely next. Take every day enjoy it while you can ...I miss skating so much it saved my life as a youth. I was going through serious abuse as a kid so it was my place to escape it all .
Wow, thanks for the reply man! Glad you liked the video, I remember watching Natas for the first time too, and going out with my homies and trying his tricks all day... I take your words to heart, take every day while you can, hope your back condition gets better and you can push around or find other ways to enjoy the moment! Take care friend!
I’m 47 too. Quit skating in 91. Last trick I learned was the 360 kickflip(which was hard to do back then on those old big bulky decks). Only landed it twice but it was very satisfying when I only had magazines and vcr tapes to teach me. Though I quit I skating always stuck with me. Recently I’ve been longing to buy a new deck and trying to recapture the feeling that I had when I was younger. No complies are such cool tricks. The amount of variations are endless. Nice video my guy:)
Right on Crazy Cat Man, I love cats too! I am stoked on your message, thanks brother - I encourage you to get out there again, go get a deck and just push around, that feeling of being a kid comes back! Super grateful to skating - so many old skaters now, you don't have to be good, just feel the wind on your face!
Thanks man, really appreciate that! And if you never saw it before then you did invent it, right?! Glad you liked that one, I call it a Barbee slide in honor of the best to ever do it. Keep pushing!
I'm currently trying to learn the one you did at 1:22. I have no idea what to even make out of it, is it a no comply fakie big spin? Excellent video. You are so fluid
Thank you! Yes, it's a no comply fakie bigspin. The 2 tricks after it are also no comply fakie bigspins, but with the foot planted on the other side of the board or with the board going around the leg instead. Have fun, go get it!
I just want to tell you this is one of the most beautiful things I've found on this website. Thank you soooo much, man. The no comply has always been my favorite because of how simple yet expressive it is, and I'm in awe of how much you danced with this one trick. I will be recommending this to people for its simplicity, grace, and of course, overall dopeness.
@@shanesparks9888 Thank you for absolutely shredding, Shane! I've now watched a few more of your videos and I gotta say you're putting out awesome vibes. It's a "glad to be alive" feeling. You probably know about Ben Koppl already, but did you see the stuff he did on Europart for film trucks last year? I mention him because you told someone it's all about getting outside and feeling the wind in your hair, and I wish more skaters (people in general) embraced this...way of being. You could probably throw Haslam in the mix (style wise) but I think Koppl used to be a teacher (or he still may be, I'm not sure). Anyhow, keep inspiring people the way you do.
WOW!!! There was probably a handful of NBD's. You are amazing Shane! I'm going to have to watch this a bunch of times to soak in what I just saw. Right on buddy... More like 47 No Comply Variations at Age 17!!!
Thanks Willy! Coming from you that means a lot! I'm super stoked you enjoyed it, it's rad that we're still both rolling many years on with many years to go!
I'm trying to learn these, getting onto the board after switch has been the toughest thing for me and watching these again and again to get the inspiration to try it this evening is a huge help. Thanks for the awesome upload!
Next ol' dirty fart here. Just finished my Streetsurfskate Hybrid after 25 Years not on Board. I just start again at the very beginning at 45 years old. First time pumping was already hard, even though i got good condition on bike and in my profession as a rigger. 2,5 km and i was done..remembering times pushin a streetboard like 10 km to get to the right spot and start to skate.😂 Your vid gives me hope! Theres only one way to do it!
I LOVE THIS TRICK. Thanks For Showing. I wish the names of them were bigger in the screen. Unfortunately I'm Near Sighted, but I love skateboarding. Awesome Video Man. LOVED IT
Thanks Troy! Stoked on your comment - I need to put up another video with all the variations I can do, with names - I'll make them bigger next time! Keep pushing brother!
I am in awe! I knew skateboarding had varieties of styles and tricks but this just made me think broader in what this sport has to offer. I should stop focusing on kickflips😆
Thanks Jay! I put in the clips in regular motion first and then slow motion second (with names in the bottom corner). Probably should have just uploaded the regular versions only, ha!
Wow! That was awesome Shane! Didn't know you had a RUclips channel, just stumbled across it because Henry and some of the other Sebastopol kids are starting to learn some similar street tricks and was looking for a video. We just subscribed, so we can see your new videos. Keep it up. Miss you in Sebastopol! -Dan
hello ~u r no complies are so awesome!! so love it ! and i wanna ask u can i transport it to bilibili (an app like youtube in China ,insicate the source & no business)
The trick that exists outside of time and always appears modern.
Thank you sir for opening up a whole new realm to explore.
You are most welcome, stoked! Enjoy!
I absolutely love when people keep their passion no matter the age
Me too!
Stopping something you love because of age, aka, fear of judgement from strangers, is a terrible way to live
The one at 0:09 that is shifty-ish was sick. The half cab one too.
Thanks! I call that one a Barbee slide.
All killer...no filler. This one's getting saved in the skate inspiration file. Subbed.
Thanks man, super stoked to hear that!

Such a beautiful comment, I hope you are doing great now
At 44 and just beginning the skateboard journey, I’m happy to see someone in my age bracket so active in skating. Nice video!
Happy to see an 47 OG like me, been Sk8 since 85! Sk8 or die Brotha!!!
Right on, thanks Kae! Keep pushing man!
Incredible, man! Reminds me of Ray Barbee.
Appreciate that, he is big inspiration!
You opened up my eyes to a lot of possibilities with no complies
Stoked to hear that, go get some!

To do 47 different kinds is sick🔥

Right on, I agree!

Much love and respect to you and your channel Shane Sparks
Appreciated that!
Nice!!! 39 yo here, trying with the essentials of NC atm, you're an inspiration!
My hero! I thought i invented that bs shuv, fs body varial one, lol. I can't wait to try some of these. That frontside scrapey rewinder was so cool!
Thanks man, really appreciate that! And if you never saw it before then you did invent it, right?! Glad you liked that one, I call it a Barbee slide in honor of the best to ever do it. Keep pushing!
For me you are Mr. Shane No Comply Lord.

Awesome, stoked to inspire someone, hope you got them down!
My favourite trick that gets hated on. I love an aggressive no comply over a big downhill gap.
Just joined the over 30s club, this makes me so happy to see age is just a number. Keep on rolling my dude!
