Tom had a relapse before he wrote this. He was struggling with his sobriety and staying clean. He worked through it by writing his lyrics, this IS his therapy and how he recovers.

This song was the turning point of Tom transitioning from alcoholism and pill dependency to sober and figuring out his faith along with where he wanted to go in his musical career.

This is the first song I found of Toms and I never looked back because the emotion behind these lyrics, you can't convey this passion and emotion and not be real.
This is an old song, he was definitely in a dark place when he wrote this, he has always be soooo transparent even while struggling to reach others to show us were not alone and we can make it through too, so he has definitely has grown since this song but although he still struggles with his mental health he is in a better place now.

You should definitely check out the first song that went viral. Dear Rappers and going in order from there would be a great way to follow his music journey! Tom basically writes about what's going on in his life and then puts out videos. It's amazing to watch in chronological order! But if you choose not to go that route, we will still be here for you. I think you would enjoy Tom's remix of Eminem's The Way I Am and then his song Dear Slim! Plus I Hate Hip Hop, Canceled, I Don't Care and Famous are a few of my favorites! But basically Tom never misses! #HogFam♥️

Fun fact: Tom produces all his own beats and music and Nova (his girl) shoots and edits his videos with the assistance of Jared Potter for some of the more in-depth CGI. So I do agree that he is underrated, for the fact that he does all the work himself, he signs all his CDs and mails them out him and his family. He also is in his discord and interacts with us quite often. He gets alot of hate and I personally think most of it is unfounded, I mean you don't have to like his music which is fine but to hate him seems crazy to me. He stands on his beliefs and his word no matter if it goes against the popular narrative, that is truly what sets him apart, he will not conform he just is Tom.
