From what I can tell, the recoloured St George's Cross is a callback to the 1966 training kit England used, with the purple being a combination of the red and blue. It seems to be a theme with the England kits this time around, according to Footy Headlines. It's a homage to the England team that won them their only World Cup thus far and people are mad because they didn't actually put the effort in to find any genuine material on why this is? Now that I think about it, sounds like one of the most English things, actually. Getting mad at something for what it isn't. This isn't me pulling stuff out of me butt, this was what was said by an FA spokesperson. If Nike were indeed actually catering to these kinds of audience, they wouldn't be vague about it, they would come forward and say that, that's how the world works. When you're a company trying something daring, you can't be vague during the release otherwise only backlash follows.
It's a really nice shirt. I just wished that the sleeve cuffs weren't just a small ribbon going around the cuff but also having maybe having a solid dark blue underneath said lines.
Without seeing first hand I actually thought it was a solid red line on the cuff lol. I didn’t know the stripes were the same as the cross on the back 🫣 lol. Thanks for watching 😜⚽️⚽️⚽️
How do the sizings go? Should I go up a size due to them being tighter than a normal shirt? I’m normally an XL n thinking I should order a XXL, any thoughts or knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks 😊
Be aware of fakes around first and foremost. The sizing on genuine shirts is true to size. BUT saying that, there is only a 2 inch difference between sizes anyway. We usually stick to our usual sizing. Size L fits just as it should. I would recommend buying your normal size. Hope that helps ⚽️⚽️
Maybe it the colours you turn when you see it for the first time, or what colour the designer turns when you strangle him. No, but seriously, I have to be honest ( maybe it's the material Used) the player version is a thing of beauty
They fit as your regular size but the material is lighter on the player version so feel more tighter if that makes sense. I recommend getting your regular size. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it ⚽️
@@alasone i actually want one and fomo forces me to do it now, i suspect this model will go sold out before big deals don't u think? many webs don't have my size already
Lots of people ask this my friend but in my experience no. Just wash on a light load wash and don’t use softener. Never tumble dry and you’ll be fine ⚽️
Great video, thank you. Is the Player shirt a slightly tighter fit (so a large in Player would be more like an Extra Medium in Fan version)? Also, if you have the pit to pit measurements for the shirts you have (in Large) that would be awesome!
I no longer have the shirts sorry but these are true to size as stated by Nike. So if you are a large, they recommend large. I personally recommend sticking with your usual size depending on your build. Remember though, there is only 2 inch difference between the next size up. Hope that helps ⚽️⚽️
Waiting for the good fake one which probably costs around €25 and better than both of these. Last year I saw a fake Manchester City kit on TikTok and just couldn't believe that it was better designed than the authentic ones. I wish I had one.
Its not the colours that caused the stirr, its only the colours on the changed st george cross. Just dont change our flag!🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴 Other then that flag issue, the shirt is good

I love it. Much better than last year in my opinion. Could be a serious future classic though? After the Euros… 😜 we shall see lol
Great video & good looking shirts! What is the size & fit like between the two shirts?

You think the Nike logo and England badge on the authentic version will peel off overtime?

Oh and always buy genuine. The fakes do peel off very easily
Thanks for the speedy response. Would definitley get authentic. Player version looks so much better, I’ll be going for that one. Thank you 👍

Does the size on both you have fit the same on you or is there a difference ?
They are totally the same size but have a completely different feel. The player version is lighter and feels more snug. Hope that helps? ⚽️
Thank you

The fakes are getting too good lately. I will be hopefully doing some fake awareness videos alongside the real thing soon ⚽️
@@alasone Yes, please and if possible, let us know where to order with the link attached would be great.
The fakes are fantastic, can't even tell the difference, £85-£125 is ridiculous for a football shirt
The difference is the staff laugh at you when you pay 50% more for the same shirt with a different name
that cross on the back looks like something you would see on a sign outside a pharmacy. shame on them
What's wrong with pharmacies?

Not a fan of the kit . looks similar too euro 2020 kit template design so lazy from Nike
Do you prefer it to last year though?
