- Fat Fajita Flautas Using Leftover Fajitas On A Blackstone Griddle. Once again, here's another idea for leftovers. Tonight it's leftover fajitas! And I'm making fajita flautas! (Flute shaped rolled flour tortillas) Food is expensive these days, so if you don't think you like leftovers, this recipe makes leftover bottom round steak that I made into fajitas, into fat fajita flautas. I also made a fajita burrito! All four dinners from one bottom round roast were tasty! So, if you're looking for a recipe for leftover fajitas, this is it!

I live seven minute drive from the Mexico border in Southeastern AZ. So some foods are called different it depends where you live. Here flautas are made with corn tortillas. What you made today they are called chimichangas here. But whatever they are called in some areas they are both delicious. Kevin they look delicious especially with a good salsa. You did a great recipe and a great job cooking them. Have a wonderful week brother and take care. Yard is looking pretty nice too.
Like you said you can put on a plate and add some shedded lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and salsa on top.

Today, you can even ask Google because Google knows all 🤣😂🤣 Chimichungas, as mentioned, are basically fried burritos, I didn't make burritos. Today is a different world. Some people think they are cats 😂 I'm old, so I sometimes have to pass down traditional knowledge or it will be lost forever 😃 I hope you have an awesome day, brother!👍✌️

tacos dorados, flautas & taquitos have always been interchangeable to me and i've actually never had a flauta made from flour tortilla, it's always been corn(even at a restaurant). I think it might be a regional thing? To further add some confusion, we can refer to regular tacos as "taquitos" depending on context. we use a lot diminutives in spanish, kinda shows affection.
for example, if I wanted my wife to make me dinner instead of saying, "my love, please make me some tacos, with some salsa and please bring me a beer" I would say "amorcito, please make me some taquitos with some salsita and please bring me a cervezita" it just kinda softens the whole thing is she more likely to do it, lol!
Sounds like some love language going on over there, Sal! I'm old. Flautas in SoCal were always flautas back in the day. Even now, Google will agree that flautas are made with flour tortillas and taquitos with corn. Taquitos are small, usually rolled, tacos, and tacos aren't taquitos 😂 But in today's world, anything is whatever people call it. The hashtag used to be a number sign or pound sign. And so much more. I just never really thought of it tbh and have never seen them. when i said regional, i was thinking more about the part of mexico my family is from. we always made flautas with corn tortillas and the few times i've ordered at a restaurant, it's been corn. i never knew making a taco out of flour tortilla was even a thing but it's huge in northern parts of mexico. my interaction with flour tortillas had always involved burritos and quesadillas. disclaimer, my family does have a habit of calling things the wrong name anyways so I might have been brought up saying it wrong my entire life lol!
