Danny Trejo got Salma Hayek this role. He worked with her when she was an extra in another independent film that Trejo was in called Mi Vida Loca. He told Robert Rodriguez you have to cast this girl cause she is smoking hot and she is going to be the biggest Mexican actress in Hollywood.
8/26/95. It was the last episode of the season. Also reviewed were Dangerous Minds, Mortal Kombat, Beyond Rangoon, Lord of Illusions, and The Tuskegee Airmen.
I agree the art direction & the style were terrific 👌, except there's no substance in the story to enjoy, wish some scenes last little longer like the love story between 2 characters & Salma Hayek is the only bright spot of the movie as a love interest for Banderas. 👎⭐️⭐️
I couldn’t agree more. Banderas and Salma smolder, Steve Buscemi and Cheech and Tarantino’s cameo are funny, but the plot is flimsy, the action overly stylized and the final confrontation is anticlimactic. Joaquin de Almeida is a good actor but his character Bucho is underwritten. Raul Julia was supposed to play that part but he died before production began unfortunately. 👎🏾 ⭐️⭐️
When I go to a movie like this, I want to see well shot and paced action scenes with style. I agree that the story is pretty slim. For what I was looking for, it gave me what I wanted ⭐️⭐️⭐️👍

I don’t really know what these two are talking about, this is one of the best action movies of the 90s
Nowhere near as good as El Mariachi
Partially i agree, although i give a more positive approach

WRONG AGAIN!😮
All style, no substance, just like most of Rodriguez's catalogue.
