This is the first Waylon album I DIDN’T buy,which is why I thought before I played this,surely this isn’t a re-record of his 1968 song of the same title? Well it isn’t,that one had an apostrophe!
Sorry, just had to go to the shed and check out my 1968 “Hangin’ On” album, I got quite a shock as the back was covered with signatures of some of the greats,including Charley Pride,D J Fontana,Jack Barlow,Lucille Starr,Ray Griff,Jack Reno,Peggy Little,Diana Trask and more I can’t decipher. These would have been acquired while hanging round the Municipal Auditorium after the Dot Record Show during 1969’s DJ Convention. I’d probably just bought the LP from ET’s. Shed’s due to collapse,so I better check what’s on the back of a few others!

and guess what, I feel really bad,the most prominent signature was Tommy Overstreet’s,seemingly forgotten these days and I missed him
