That set of blades came from Ehribro I believe, but you can use standard blades as well.

Te FBL controller does not care how many blades your turning,,
So yes you would set it up as a normal 2 bladed head, unless yours asks "how many blades".

BeastX has the capability to set phasing via the software, But I prefer to set it up mechanically

Hi! Would please tell me what kinf of blades ar you using? My rotor is on the way and I was thinking of using regular 325mm blades untill I saw your video. Where can I find that type ones?
    THX in advance!

Hi nightflyr1, i want to now what kind off motor in Kv, pinion, you are using and also ESC.

If this works ..all good, if not it means phasing will be out 180 degrees which means you will have to align the blade 90 degrees to the right side frame.
I would caution you to ground test the setup carefully to ensure proper phasing.
If you see any odd behavior in the operation of the rotor prior to lift off.... stop and reset and realign the phasing

    Are these blades weighted?
I have a rigid 5 blade head and I was told I needed these plastic semi symmetric blades, but weighted in order ti fly without a 3 axis..?

I would think the setup will remain the same regardless of the position of the elevator link( forward or back), you would still need to have the blade aligned 90 degrees to the frame and the linkage aligned to the elevator link ball.

Hi nighyflyr1, so if I set the phasing manualy to get it jsut like your explanation, then in the fbl controller I just need to set everything up, as if I am flying a two blade ?

Looking at another penta head setup I have, .....
in using the front mounted elevator setup it appears you will align the blade 90 degrees to the left side frame (looking from the tail ) then adjust the swash follower so that the linkage aligns to the elevator link ball while the blade remains in the 90 degree position.

I did the mechanical phasing , I also have a beastx on this I was told that I can set the beastx up for 3 blade but dont need too . has anyone done this before ????

So realistically it can work , so as long as it is phased properly. If im understanding this correctly

Unless the head assembly has a swash lock phasing would be quite a feat to do.
If you watch this ruclips.net/video/bj6fDrRT7Ag/видео.html your head assembly will need the item in blue in order to adjust any phasing.

These are non- weighted blades... using a beastx to control the head

    Stock ESC, motor and pinion

Will this work on a two blade standard rotor head?

    • @nightflyr1
      @nightflyr1  5 лет назад

A standard 2 bladed head really doesn't require phasing, it is required on any multi bladed head.

The mechanical setup is the same .
