We have a concurrent licence and hmi has a failing hard disk. New HMI has been purchased. How to activate factory talk viewer on new hmi if we can't locate the serial number and product key as it was installed 4 years ago and not traceable.
Does the FT AM version need to be exact? Or can it be V5.xx.xx and be compatible? My offline machine has v5.00.11 and my only machine has v5.01.01. Will this cause an issue?
Hello. Hello. On the machine with internet access, I don't see same screen in time 2:10. The screen request the generate the xml file as in the machine without internet.
@@neo5507 Does that PC has all the rights? Suppose the online Pc is kept opening the same window as the offline Pc. In that case, the activation manager has no right to go online from that PC. in this case, I would say try to contact the IT department or use any local PC with all the internet Access.
I have the Same Problem, there is NO Serial Number or Product Key Boxes, The Add Button is NOT There. I downloaded & installed the Latest FactoryTalk Activation Manager. This is Completely Awful, what was Wrong with the Web based version we have been using for the Past Few Years??? "If it ain't broke, Break It????"
I agree with Scott. I'm at a site and they need to add a license to an offline server, they're asking me how to do it. It looks like what used to be a simple 2-step USB drive task now has them trying to install FT Activation Manager (which is not gonna be the same version as the older offline server) on a random office computer and going through a lot of extra motions. I estimate this will waste at least 2 - 4 hours of their day plus a tech support call to waste some of your (Rockwell's) time too.
