  • Kakuma is one of the world’s largest refugee camps. The 185,000 refugees who live in this remote camp in northwest Kenya are active as employers, consumers, and producers. These refugees have created a significant informal economy -- with a market estimated at $56 million annually. Video by Stephan Bachenheimer. #IFCmarkets

Now we're being recommended this stuff because of what's happening between Kenya and Somalia now, it's just propaganda to show how the 'refugees' are innovative and entrepreneurs. This is the second video that I've watched from about 3-6 years ago today. The algorithms are insane.. Kudos UN

Looks impressive although id say the electricity supplier would be shut down for health and safety reasons in any other place.

The government has to watch these camps though...keep then under check before they become a hot bed of rebellion and secessionist movements like we have in Iraq, iran and Syria...the Kurds...

But the refugees must not be victimised in any shape or form...they must be encouraged to still lead a normal life as they're our brothers and sisters after all.
The problems I was addressing are the ones like kibera slums and other slums..uncontrolled or unregulated business like matatu which is goid but a menace at the same time.
