When I was growing up as kid till 2005 he was my idol eventhough I haven't seen him play a lot throughout the 90's on tv which at that time we didn't have a sport channel subscription at home. I saw him play in the World Cup final in 98' which was shown live on tv as well as in 2002 and in 2006. I don't need to compare him to anyone else. Every top class player in the history from Pele, George Best, Maradona, Zidane, R9 and in couple of years Messi when he retires, these players all have their unique style, but for me I always like Ronaldo's style (90's era) more than the others.
while you saw him ( 98 and after) he was the best at the time still but was not the phenomenon he was when he was very young. What he could do physically was not comparable to anyone ever. For me maradonna is the best player ever, romario best goal getter...but ronaldo he was technically and physically a phenomenon indeed. Never recovered and still was the best on 50% power!!!

man....i remember when i used to watch football matches just to see him, loved him so much, idk care if he's fat, he still had his instinct, look at the runs he made, his passing was still ok too. he's an awesome guy and he did alot for for the football world, the only curse on his career was all the injuries but even still, he was incredibly sucessful. he's one of the reasons i started playing football.

he has a disease called "hypothyroidism" I am not a medicine expert but I took a while to look on internet and I found out that he has that disease which lacks of hormones and he gets a big appetite.You must take a consider too that he got injured very often by players who couldn't take his ball because he was too fast so that resulted in his big weight condition too.I hate when people are teasing him without knowing that he is sick :(
you guys got to know the ONly reason he got fat was because he couldn't run and excercise anymore due to the pain he have from ongoing leg injury he has suffered in his career. if you search the images of the scar on his leg, you be like Ughhhh WTF how can this fat person play for Real Madrid, Inter MIlan and AC milan.
