  • Dear Viewers,
This was amazing to put together for you. I really wanted you to get a sense of how stong the wind and the sea was... and I honestly think I failed!
I am so greatful to the RNLI and the Angle Lifeboat team (even though I thought it was the Anger Life Boat)
    Please enjoy,
    Richard and Nina

It was my first training day on the lifeboat on the day you came into Milford, I can confirm the conditions were very difficult, I recall escorting both yachts in and on the channel to Milford Marina the lady through watching her lips said ’Thank You’ with a smile. A very heartwarming experience knowing you guys had got in safe and well. Still crew of the lifeboat to this day and still enjoy helping people …… safe seas 👍

Wow! What a ride that was. A special medal to Nina for honesty, facing fears and winning the day. Kudos! Great watching you guys but I can honestly say that I am glad that I wasn’t onboard for that leg of the journey. Onward!

Dale anchorage is great. Never been into Milford haven

Dale was our original destination but when we got there it was being pounded. We met up with Solent Mischief the next day who had spent the night in Dale. They didn't get any rest and another boat there broke free from the pontoon. It was so nice to be in a"bomb proof" marina that night

Hi Dennis, thanks for the comment. We were fortunate enough that while on our journey covid lockdowns weren't yet happening like today. There were closed marinas, and places with no facilities, but mostly we were fine. We actually completed the trip in September 2020. Just before the really tight lockdowns

Another great video! Is that storm a first experience for you? As a newbie to sailing, it's the one thing that would put me off sailing in the open ocean.

Thanks Willful. Richard had been in F10 in the North sea before, but that was on a 72ft ketch weighing 30 tonnes and 12 crew. This was only F7 but a first for us on this boat. The boat want bothered... Only us!

There is a local charity down in Plymouth called Hugs for Henry that we support. It's raising money for that Cancer.
