I’ve got enough weapons to arm a small nation and I have to say, this is the best cleaning kit I’ve ever owned. I’m always impressed by the products recommended on this channel. Thanks so much for the great content!
Thanks. I never would have given it a second look on Amazon. The only problem with any kit is that you have extra stuff that doesn't fit into it. I still have my re-purposed 50 year old tackle box as my primary kit
I dont think any of us would be againts you getting sponsors, get that money man you deserve it lol i wouldn't even care seeing RAID shadow legends ad if that means you get paid. Just saying
Wow that looks like one of the best cleaning kits i have seen. i would have to say make your money. most of us dont care as long as its a good product that we could use and is not garbage. if it truly is a good product by all means take sponsorships and products. Its nice to see someone in our niche of firearms. making money off their work...
I have been needing a gun cleaning kit for my 308 rifle recently. I’ve checked this out since it has multiple calibers. (Id really only use the 9mm, .17 and 40 besides the 308). But I’ve heard that this kit has a problem with the rods breaking during the first or second use. Have you had a problem with this? And would you recommend another cleaning kit for .308?
I haven’t had that problem. Granted, I rarely connect the rod extensions because I’m usually cleaning handguns and only need one piece of the rod to reach through the barrel. For what it’s worth though, I haven’t had anything break in this kit and I’m still using it for all of my cleanings.
Question: If I want to have the option of getting a conversion cylinder for a cap and ball revolver, is it better to go with 38 Special or 45 LC? Also, do conversion cylinders make more sense on Colt-style revolvers or Remington-style. Thanks for all the good content.
Go with the .44 C&B /.45LC as they are the same bore size. The .38 Special is normally a different bore size (.357") than what a .36 cap n' ball is (.375") and the accuracy is usually poor. Either way, make sure to only shoot lead bullets, and preferably cowboy loads.
I purchased the boosteady gun cleaning kit based on your review in this vlog. My question is what diameter bore brush should I use on my 9 mm pistol? Will the 357 bore brush work in the 9 mm barrel? Thank you
@@GunsOfTheWest although I have several different varieties of guns, the cimmaron is the only older gun i possess. Is a different sort of solvent/oil necessary for modern guns verses the cimmaron I have. I am very much an amateur.

Thank you!
Nice looking kit. Brass is softer than steel so always better to insert into a bore
Honestly one of the best cleaning kits I have ever seen.
I found they sell a kit in a wooden box too, I really like that.
Thanks. I never would have given it a second look on Amazon. The only problem with any kit is that you have extra stuff that doesn't fit into it. I still have my re-purposed 50 year old tackle box as my primary kit
Dustin, can you do a vid on conversion cylinders for black powder revolvers?

That's a nice looking cleaning kit.
Thanks for the review. Also I forget the name and location of the saloon. Hope to be in Utah soon, would live to see it in person. Thanks.
Unfortunately, it’s not there anymore. This is just a photo imposed with a green screen.
@@GunsOfTheWest Dang unfortunate. Got to go to Tombstone not long ago. I guess I'll try Virginia City next.
I bought a gun cleaning kit at Walmart and it turned out to be garbage. I will definitely have to check out this kit.
Hi Guns Of The West, can you please tell me how to properly use the jags. Thank You!!!

Just one question : does the handle turn on the cleaning rod ?
Just love your vids.
It does. Thanks for watching!
@@GunsOfTheWest So, this is just perfect then ! Thx for this very useful review 👍👍

I had a cleaning kit that looked just like that. I think my brother has it now.

Yeah, the .357 is the one I use.
That is a primo cleaning kit. Sadly, mine is a cheap tackle box with no organization whatsoever.
That’s how my other one was too. LOL
I have a few that could use some TLC too.
Where can I buy this kit?
Greetings! Will this kit clean a cimarron single action conversion revolver. 1851 model? Thank you!
It should. You’ll need to get whatever solvent/oil you want, but it has the rods and attachments.
@@GunsOfTheWest thank you so much

@@paulazkoul4894 Lately, I use Ballistol for all of them.
@@GunsOfTheWest baallistol offers both solvent and oil?
