Apparently Ellie's dad was watching Neuro stream live and when this happened he frantically messaged his daughter "she's singing your song!" That's so cute.
Also imagine you are a middle aged man and one day your grown up ass daughter says "Dad, I'm a vtuber" and yo discover a whole new world and you start watching other vtubers coz they Ellie's friends and then you watch an ai vtuber karaoke stream live.
there's something I've been curious about, think about it, wont it make sense if being interested in tech ran in the family and that's why Ellie's dad is part of the swarm?

@@lowkeyarki7091 I'm almost 40 and stay moderately up to date with streaming in general and vtubers. Watch Neuro sometimes, and go through lots of the clips. I also work as a programmer though and do my own AI projects, so that's how I originally came across Neuro. Though the first VTuber I ever came across was Bao.
@@jordanledoux197 Whereas I AM over 40, albeit barely, am not into AI, can't program (unfortunately), not into Anime except for Ghost in the Shell, but HAVE been into computers/tech since mid-90s.
I fell down this VTuber rabbit hole last year after randomly watching OBKatieKat, a metal musician/singer.
Then coincidentally, Filian did a collab with Alveus Animal Sanctuary, which was *_fucking hilarious!_* Started watching her stuff, and then have a Neuro and Vedal clip a go... and here I am!
I am throughly impressed by what Vedal's created, both the LLM 'AI' side and the voice synthesizer.
The fact he's gotten them to sing *_so_* beautifully is just 🤯!
Sadly I don't know exactly how impressive that is or whether anyone _else_ has done anything similar... my understanding is a Vocaloid requires human manipulation of every word and is closer to autotune, although I don't know how much Vedal had to participate in it when setting up the twins to sing a song.
At any rate, regardless of whether her dad was/is into tech, I imagine that was an *incredibly* epic moment for him!!

honestly it feels nostalgic despite hearing it for the first time, the song itself feels like a friend that's always been there with you. truly a wonderful find
Honestly its so wholesome it makes me tear-up a little! Even the opening lines really paint a cute picture of making a friend go out on a walk in nature and just let them talk it all out, which I find is unironically one of the best ways to do it. I know generally in my experience a little light exercise in nature helps the words come out, I've had some of my deepest and most theraputic talks with friends this way.

Sounds like it could be a synching nightmare. I think it could work if Ellie prerecorded herself playing... then again might as well just add it as the bg music to what Neuro is singing at that point. I mean doing it live would be like trying to play an instrument to a video of someone singing with no instrumentals through discord.

Did the AI also choose the songs to sing? With the advances in tech I wonder if humans will be able to create an actual intelligent AI or it will just keep mimicking human intelligence to simulate being intelligent but never gain actual intelligence and free will of its own. It seems reasonable to happen but then again people in the 1960s thought we'd be living the Jetsons life by now.
These songs are hand made, it actually takes some effort to prepare the tracks for the AI to "sing"

My initial assumption was that they trained it on the song, to make it understand the tone, pitch, and timing of the vocals. Then, fed it a text of the lyrics, and off it went...

That's like saying Vedal was riding the coat-tails of BTMC when he shouted neuro out and started to compete against her. Shout outs happen and can lead to mutual respect.
