      deeban shajahan fingers pushing the shafts into the palm but the I can use pretty much any grip as long as it's an under grip. I demonstrate that in lessons hitting using all sorts of crazy grips. It more about face awareness.

    Hey Michael
    Wondering if you could do a video using a speed swing monitor? Thanks
    Some pretty interesting stuff.

      Danny Holden I'll check with my instructor buddies. They use Foresight. I haven't been on one in a while. It would be interesting.
      I'll also explain weight transfer that will be surprising to most. The how to....it's not what you would think. Another element of speed.

    I love the concept, but to get your distance, I used stop action on your 9 iron swing and looks like you have a flying elbow far from you body at the top.

    • @michaelbroderick
      @michaelbroderick  5 лет назад +1

      thomas glass that's very true. I've always had it from baseball days. What I do well though is return my elbow to my side with the right forearm up that I showed here.

      during the first part of the back swing up to the top it looks like the right hand never goes palm up and at to top the palm faces forward and does not go palm up until the right elbow comes into the side on the down swing.@@michaelbroderick

      Gordon T. Different angle measure Gordon. Same idea. Just bend 23 you'll get both. 123 goes heel to posterior to head. Different yet the same!

    I love your all the knowledge you have shared Michael, however i thought the body reacts to the arms, as you have said in one of your videos,
    this drill means the arms react to the body?.
    I am not saying you are wrong in any way.
    But this what confuses the hell out of me. If i was to strike down with an axe over head i feel my arms go first, then my body reacts.
    This is why i`m crap at golf lol.

    • @michaelbroderick
      @michaelbroderick  5 лет назад

      Paul its just sequence. Actually what you feel isn't what we do. Me either. Actually if you throw an axe what you describe doesn't happen. Arms don't go first.

    • @michaelbroderick
      @michaelbroderick  5 лет назад

      What I learned to do was control my head and tilt both forward and with side bend so I was stable and hit the same low spot every single swing. The ball then just gets in the way. You just can't throw from the top. So turn turn turn for what seems an eternity with your hands at your rt shoulder if you're a righty. Then the 90 lets go. That's about as simple as it gets.
      Watch the latest graphics where you can see the axis. Very stable.
      It's really just a rocking the baby motion.

      @@michaelbroderick Michael you are soooooo right, i have tried this today and when i threw the axe my body reacted first.
      when i imitated a baseball swing my knees went first then my hips then my shoulders the last thing to go was my arms.
      I`m a powerful guy, at 6ft 6 inches and 250 pounds with a lot of top body strength but i bet you a million dollars you could out drive me with any club without even trying.
      I am trying to get this but hell i`m making it harder than it should be, as the X files said the truth is out there.
      Your videos are helping me no end.

    Do we have passive arms in the swing ?

    • @michaelbroderick
      @michaelbroderick  5 лет назад

      cebc40 to start absolutely. Once skilled you can add more speed but it's important to understand how powerful the passive flail is first. Lee and I both play golf swinging at 20 percent of what we are capable of. There are easy ways to increase to even more speed but until this fundamental I've shown here is mastered and understood you might be wasting effort. All I'm suggesting is that you follow exactly what I've shown. I think you'll be surprised.

    • @cebc40
      @cebc40 5 лет назад

      michael broderick I certainly will, thank you very much

    • @michaelbroderick
      @michaelbroderick  5 лет назад +1

      cebc40 in fact that last swing I made at 418 was at 20 percent effort. I felt like I was in slow motion yet I guarantee to you that if I had a ball in the way it would have flown 165 or more. That's my standard 8i length. So why juice it up to 200? There's no need when the cruising speed is so accurate. The goal is to score. Ego needs to be left on the range for sure.

    • @colerche
      @colerche 5 лет назад

      @@michaelbroderick This is a really important point, because if you don't have a complete feel for what you are doing, when you try to ramp it up it becomes very hard to maintain the integrity of the swing. In classic golf language: you risk losing both rhythm and tempo.
