Man I wish I would have found this video last year. Please make this a standard training video for Lowe’s garden center employees.

I would not use the crystals. I eliminated my peach tree borer problem with nematodes from Arrabico Organics. I highly suggest giving nematodes a try.

Also where do you find the two pesticides you mentioned? I have never heard of them.

Can you put a link to where we can buy these crystals and the name of them? My peach tree is having this problem. I don't really see any sap on the trunk but holes and clear goo leaking from some of the biggest fruits. My tree is about 20 years old and it has never been able to get full-term peaches because of this. They get a hole in them when they get the size of a golf ball, and then drop off.

I've had to cut down 2 beautiful 15 feet sugar diamond princess peach trees with delicious peaches, because of peach borers, I used nemetodes, diatemacious, then tried burying moth balls, but it was too late there was at least 2 qts of gobs coming out of both before they died, I will try these crystals come october if I can find them, the thing with peach trees, is somehow the bark always finds a way to get damage, even without weedeater, I wish there was better protection options than just tree paint. It's so hard growing peaches more power to anyone who can, it's been a long 5 year journey for me just trying, if the borers don't get them the squirrels do, they say you can dig borers out, I have other peach trees so I dig around looking for them I can't find them, I used the traps, so far don't see any.

Sorry about your trees. I found a hole at the base of one of my peach trees and the trunk was oozing sap. I took my sprayer filled with Mathilaon mix and put it up to the hole and sprayed away. No more oozing sap and tree looks alot better. Bought some BTH and the next one I will use that on.

How bad are these borers? I have a nice tree (not a peach tree) on my lawn. I dont mind the pretty adults they are decent lttle pollinators.

When do you add crystals in the deep south I'm in zone 8. I think mine has a canker or something big oval shape hole but it's at the base below where it was grafted...I don't know if that's the rootstock? This is all new to me but my peach tree is still dormant and the rest looks ok but that huge hole and it's still in a pot...The other peach tree just like it same kind of peach has already bloomed flowered and has peaches on it So there is definitely something bad going on but it's not dead and like I said looks fine but that.

Any organic suggestions? I have a nectarine and a two peaches which are oozing pretty badly, and there is evidence of borer activity at the base, only the trees are hanging on - I already pulled two plums one of which had mechanical damage and may have been the culprit . I'm tempted to pull the stone fruit trees to prevent further damage to my home orchard. Can you please advise? thank you.
