I'm not normally a fan of Versace as it often veers too close to the tacky for my taste but this collection is just gorgeous. Love the colour palette, the prints, the horizontal Missoni-ish zigzags, the shine and the swish. Sexy and sophisticated and definitely NOT tacky!
Cute, youthful, wearable....nothing negative to be said. But nothing wildly, enthusiastically positive either. Fashion is SO quiet this season. I don't want to shame quiet luxury, but I feel like we've been in this era for a while. Maybe I just love fashion too much, but I want and need more maximalism in some of these collections. Especially with Versace. Versace is aspirational. Versace is distinct.This is sharp, but I feel like the worlds of Versace and Gucci are on a collision course like the Milky Way and Andromeda. The collection had that 70s vibes but with a concept and it was a retrospective of Gianni's early work and some looks from the 90s. The collection has a Versace identity, the one that lacks creativity at this point is Donatella, since she keeps resorting to archive collections to continue "getting inspired"
You have no fashion knowledge about this brand and the history as well. This collection is based on Donatella’s Versus Spring 1997 collection. You can currently view it on Vogue Runway to get a better understanding of this. Then you will realize what her creative process was behind this Spring 25 collection.
I must say, this collection is cool, it has the gucci aesthetic of the tom ford era. There's still a sexy element but it is far from over the top. Bravo

The 2024 spring summer was good but after seeing the raise of those lunatic fans from Kpop and Cpop... I mean for real? Where the wow, the omg this piece, that bag, this shoe I want it??? The best thing about this collection is the color palate that is it.. Well at least they have increase their follower... but wonder any of them actually raise Versace sale in 2025. I feel hurt to say this but anything related to them turn to... cheap.
