I'm not normally a fan of Versace as it often veers too close to the tacky for my taste but this collection is just gorgeous. Love the colour palette, the prints, the horizontal Missoni-ish zigzags, the shine and the swish. Sexy and sophisticated and definitely NOT tacky!
Cute, youthful, wearable....nothing negative to be said. But nothing wildly, enthusiastically positive either. Fashion is SO quiet this season. I don't want to shame quiet luxury, but I feel like we've been in this era for a while. Maybe I just love fashion too much, but I want and need more maximalism in some of these collections. Especially with Versace. Versace is aspirational. Versace is distinct.This is sharp, but I feel like the worlds of Versace and Gucci are on a collision course like the Milky Way and Andromeda. Again, no complains, but complaints.
