i listened to this band in 8th grade. & now i’m going into my sophomore year of college. but to this day, this song will always hit me in a way no other song can.
My friend she put me on with him in 9th grade and we bonded over this band. And she was my best female friend but her boyfriend for the last 3-5 years made her block me bcuz he doesn’t like her being friends with men and it hurt that I can’t b her friend🥺 but I’m 24 now and everytime I listen to this artist I always think about our friendship bcuz she was the only person I could go to that wouldn’t judge me when I was going through hard stuff and she never judged me. We never had any relationship other than friendship tho but her boyfriend is self conscious I guess🥺
Practice ;) There's a lot of skilled artists out there, specifically rappers who can say words much much faster than that, (although they're not singing the words). Rappers especially known for their speed are Tech N9ne, Twista, and Bust-a-Rhymes, just to name a few. Eminem can rap fast too, though people know him more based of his excellent use of rhymes and assonance. He's more mainstream so when people think of fast rap songs, they think of rap god or look at me know like the guy above ;)
To me it sounds like the singer is saying not to give up. That you choose when it's over, not friends, not enemies, not god, but you yourself. You make up your own fate and that life "isn't over till it's over." Meaning so long as you're alive and breathing life isn't over.
Scott Ledbetter Let me put it this way. No matter what happens in life, you have the power to change it. Ones fate of being an addict isn't sealed, nor anything else. While death is eminent, it's never the end. Death can't take away who we are or that we lived. Thus everything is forever in one way or another.
i literally spent half an hour ripping my hair out trying to remember this song... was listening to Untraveled Road by Thousand Foot Krutch and was like "WTF IS THAT SONG I USED TO LOVE!!!" eventually, i remembered some of the lyrics (enough for google to say "maybe this one?") and I am glad i found it. no regrets

This song kind of relates to a story a plan on writing. It's called "The Six Escapists." The run down of it is pretty much in San Francisco, California, a lot of people have been born with magic and things like unnatural e/c and h/c, wings, tails, etc. They get captured by scientists and get experimented on. A group of six escape, hence the name "The Six Escapists." Long story short, they escape but they sometimes get recaptured. Most them also have PTSD, so it's kind of like reliving the past. The line where it says that the things you've been driving from are your biggest fears suits their mental condition. But Jace had a good backstory, he never got experimented on :D
I found this song some while ago, i saw an amv with it and really liked it...and a few days ago i found Falling in reverse, instantly falling in love with them...and now i found my old playlist with songs i used to love, never paying attention to the artist; it's such a coincidence i already loved their songs before realizing what all their songs r about...they create beautiful art, i really love them
This is an emotional song. I really think that if people take time to listen to this song, they'll love it. I love it. This may be my favorite song from Falling In Reverse. ❤️❤️
+Ethan Acuna Hi, seen you post in quite a few other comments and you seem confused. Everyone has their own interpretation of the song, and it gives others a different meaning. I myself find it more about a friendship than love-life. But hey, you may think of it what way. So the way you interpret the song is unique to you ^.^
My interpretation, due to certain combinations of words, seems to be something about God. Not for a love of God, but different. " I swore to God I'm never coming back " makes me feel like he was once a Christian, but not anymore. " And I carry this disease, the weight of the holy ghost " seems to mean that his prior belief in God haunts him. " Stop living in my shadow and just make it right " is one I personally relate with, sounding like he's saying he wants to live his life how he wants to, not how God wants him to. That's my opinion, though, a lot of the lyrics make it sounds a lot like a song that's sort of against God. I've also heard somewhere that the singer used to be a Christian, but isn't anymore. Very powerful and beautiful songs, and one of those that I can sing very well, since it's easy to associate with personally.
How does this get ANY dislikes? Perfect Singing Voice For The Song. Ronnie Radke Is a monster when it comes to writing And rapping (If you call these verses rapping. Personally I do.) The Lyrics are legendary. But that's my opinion so don't hate on me. Just do what you do, and I'll do me
It's about they are to God...coz God created the world and if He doesn't exist so we are too...that's why there's dislike...this song is so cool I admit I love it but the lyrics nah
Love how edgy teenagers focus so much on the "God is missing" part. When it's not even a statement about religion. The song has so much great meaning behind it, about trying your best no matter what. Great song.
I interpret it as him calling out other people who abused their power it doesn't even have to be in a religious setting people who do this kind of thing do it under the guise of trying to help when in reality they just want power they don't care about you so when you're left in the dust they just leave you in the dark and leave you to suffer Crying out for help: God can you hear me? Him realizing that they're not going to help and that it's all an illusion: God is missing I've always interpreted it as him saying no matter how much people break me I will always succeed this is him coming to the realization that even though he's by himself he can still keep fighting and no one's going to tell him what to do he is his own person and no matter how much he gets knocked down he will still keep getting back up I have a lot more to say on this but it would take forever
Also despite his tough guy persona he's still a person with feelings and people tend to forget that He's afraid of showing who he really is and when he finally does everyone turns on him but he doesn't care
Coming back to listen to this song in my down time. Like the lyrics says, i reveal my life and it's like a car crash, I did really bad in my last placement and I start doubting if I really want this to be my career or am I really suitable for this. As i listen to the song, it's like he is talking to me, "it ain't over till it's over", i now have the energy and motivation to keep working hard, this is a really powerful song!
Iam a martial artist and for me this song is like a motivation to fight more and more and harder and harder. And for me this friend is my own and all others out there.. but this is the great thing at music. Everyone interprete music diferent and this is what makes music unique :) Great Song

I try singing this song and then I just stop like "yeah, no, I can't sing that fast"

Sorry but my electricity turned completely off and back on at the part where it talks about carrying the holy ghost. All morning I've had people tell me how much they hate one aspect of me, and that's my will and my faith, devotion and commitment to god. Everything just lines up too perfectly to disregard
RWBY brought me here :D
+Foreverblu Same.

+Luke Alford Lmao me too
One Punch Man brings me here BTW
+Sharjeel Ahmed I've never heard of it, I just wish they'd come out with more RWBY episodes
