I'm a little surprised that you didn't mention the forking of terraform/opentf and that Spacelift will be required to use that forked version for future versions.
I honestly don't know what is going to happen with Spacelift/OpenTF/Terraform, so I didn't want to comment on it and spread bad information or speculation.
Has Spacelift decided if they can host TF past 1.5.x or will they be frozen at 1.5.x pending OpenTF feature parity? Spacelift looks nice but now seems like a rather risky time to get too deeply involved with them.
Good question! Any I don't know the answer ATM. I believe the long term goal is switch over to OpenTF, but I'd check directly with the Spacelift folks for a clear answer.
