You are brilliant!!! Very helpuful for understanding correct posture for the violin... things make so much more sense when understanding how the body is built!! Thank you!
I just watched your ventrogluteal injection site video for my T Injections and loved how thorough you were. No more dorsogluteal for me after learning from you. Now I get to learn about the digitorum profundus & the superficialis flexor tendons I sliced through years ago. Very cool channel and you teach so well! 👍🏻 Edit: subscribed!
Hiya Sam,,, you may find this amazing, I teach badminton in the pro grades..... i have students come to me and try to smash the shuttlecock as hard as i do and they fail,, no matter how hard they try,,, one major reason they fail is because they hold the handle of the racquet but they stick their "index" finger up the handle a tiny bit.... and i dont,,, i drop my index finger so im holding it like hammer so "index finger down..... my smashes are about 400kph and above and they cant do it.....when they smash they have to raise their elbow because of that index finger up, and i can keep my elbow down, meaning i can rotate waaayyyy quicker get waay more flex and Bam! my smash is quicker..... as soon as they change to finger down ; they can do it..... all because of the tiny placement of an index finger... those finger tendons connect and go up the forearm and change everything in the hit....amazing ..... who'd of thought
Thanks for your video. We love it when a lot of the time your video's align with the astro energies. Just had Gemini full moon & Gemini rules the hands, arms, shoulders, lungs and nervous system. Lunar is still in Gemini until tomorrow morning when she goes into Cancer ruler of the chest, breasts & stomach.
Thanks! When one has”jersey finger”, can the tendon be surgically re-attached? On his first day working in a grocery produce department, our oldest son was handed a box-cutter with no instructions to open boxes. In his case it was the hand holding the cutter that was sliced across the inside fingers. The tendons held but a couple of nerves had to be re-attached. Box-cutters are best avoided.
Thank you! I've been looking for this to understand how to train my fingers to be more independent. To play guitar of course. The guitar playing position means that the wrist can't be straight, so the finger extention tendons are streached while playing, making the finger independece worse. However, different angles of rotation the hand relative to the fretboard can increase or decrease finger independence. Is there a possibility that you could explain why? And more importantly, the best rotation position of the wrist for maximum finger independence while the wrist is flexed? That would be sooooo helpful! Thank you
Came here to help understand anatomy for drawing purposes/ figuring out how things move, and honestly, very well explained! Super helpful to also know what happens when things don't work as they should. It's like how you can get better at using software by pressing the wrong buttons to see what they do 😂 Thank you so much for sharing!
I cut my thumb nice right on the crease on the bottom. DEEP! I saw fat and other stuff and it bled even 12 hours later before I got it stitched up. I was close to messing up the flexor tendon on my last thumb digit. 2 weeks later I can finally move it again. More feeling is back and more strength. PALM SIDE hand injuries can be dangerous
does anyone currently watching this video have tendonitis? I m learning with hope I will heal and recover by stretching and physical therapy . thank you professor for this explanation !
I have Pain on the extenders or whatever on the top of my right hand. If I try to pick something up, it hurts. It’s from overuse in using clippers in the garden. I was hoping he would show some sort of pain relief for it but a good video.
Watched this to see what tendon the tiny nodule in my hand was on (Dr said they are on tendons, but Dr. didnt feel where it was), so wonder if not on a tendon as in between the thumb and pointer finger in the thin skin area.
So I’ve got a question, about 20 years ago I had surgery on my right wrist, but here about a week ago my index finger and thumb went through a bit of what felt like cramping, and now my index finger won’t open all the way. I have gripping power but not opening strength. Any suggestions?
i have cut under my thumb and next to the bone knuckle on the palm side, i have struggled to do anythign with the hand - the wound does not seem that bad, but i have increased pain and weakness on the thumb and still p[ins and needles why is this
My left thumb was fully extensor tendon cut..after 2 month of during operation my thumb still cant move to up means signing OK..and my thumb tendon cannot work propely. Why its be like that. Please sir answer me😢
I cannot express how much this channel helped me ! thank you Sam for putting so much effort on these vids !
I’ve been waiting for this video for 11months 🥳🎉

Same - Drums
Thank youu, ur explanation is eazy to understand
The splits of the flexor digitorum superficialis tendon to allow the central flexor digitorum profundus tendon passing is such a wonder of nature !
tea time!
Love you sir!!!
Long awaited video!!!

Thanks Sam. I work in A&E and deal with a lot of hand injuries. Your video was invaluable with great detail. I’ve now subscribed.
Thank you 👏🏻.
Just been going through the upper limb muscles and this was helpful.
Thanks for your video.

Not only does he get the perfect score in Pac man, he also knows his stuff about A&P!

Thanks 🎉
I am from tech background, but loved this anatomy video. to understand what's going in my hand.
Hey Sam, Great video. Can you tell me where you got your model of upper limb?
We get our models from Adam,Rouilly and 3BScientific.
Why there's no subtitle...?

The thumb is a thing 😂

woah amazing
What is the yellow vein suppose to b? The deoxygenated blood like suppose to be blue
Nerves are represented by the color yellow.
Watching because I have dupuytren's contracture :(
I feel that more than just the tendons in the hand are involved.

Your I think you are experiencing serious neurological problems. Severely injured nerves do not recover easily. hope it's understood.
Wait, these skeletons usually have a base. So, That means this skeleton is exactly made after you
😆
Killer joke at the extensor subject!
