Hi Holden, Thanks for your question. If some one were to loosen the Lockstraps, it depends on what you are locking if it would slide over or not. For example: A quad, bicycle, tools, motorcycle... If you attach the Lockstraps to the handle bars, it wouldn't matter if someone loosens the Lockstraps because they would still have to cut the clutch and or brake cables to slip the soft tie over the bars. That being said, you could also tie the excess slack of the Lockstraps behind the sliding clasp, then put the last loop inside the carabiner along with the soft tie extension. This way, no one would be able to loosen the Lockstraps at all. I hope this makes sense....Please let me know if you have any questions. :)

Would you not just push the tab a lossen the strap and slip whatever under it
Lockstraps are designed to not come apart like traditional straps.
