The last show System played while on drugs. Something beautiful. I truly believe they were thinking it was their last show before taking hiatus -- everybody's giving in 200% energy. Serj even painted his eyebrows for the last time for what I believe was a nostalgia trip as well as homage to the early days
Apparently Daron and Shavo, right before this show, told Serj they were going to sue him if he doesn't keep going with the band, which made Serj cry before going onstage. :/
@@nonamebrotha and why doesn't anyone talk about it? it's ridiculous. I believe Daron was more responsible for the hiatus than Serj, I mean, the old guy's voice and attitude has changed, and being the frontman should give him more space to express himself than others.

His voice was already sort of changing by 2002/2003 and sort of blew it out where he had to do it a different way as I understand. He can still break out the low stuff but with age and such, it won’t be like it was from 95 to 02

Lightning Blaze I saw them right after the release of Mesmerize about 10 years ago and his demeanor was pretty much the same. Not sure if he is trying to save his voice and/or energy, but he did seem bored. Still was a great show nonetheless. His heart may have been in the solo material he was working on at the time.
You can tell that Serj really wasn't feeling the Hypnotize/Mesmerize songs. When he plays their older stuff he's way more energetic than when they're playing anything off either of those albums. Makes sense as Daron said he didn't really wanna make those albums and then Serj admitted it.
