Get Up was written by Michael Stipe about Mike Mills. Mills always seemed to sleep late during their recording sessions for Green. This was Stipe's call for Mills to get up and work. However, Mills did not find this out until a concert in the late 1990s, when Stipe introduced the song as being about him.[3]
Thank you. I always thought it was written for an ED marketing campaign, but the band decided that they didn't want to tarnish its image.
Wow-I have owned misc copies of this since close to when it happened, and they were always bad transfers, but more heartbreaking is there always was a glitch during the ‘Driver 8’ and some of it would be garbled. This is the first copy I saw that didn’t have that! Thank you!

Maybe you are talking about "fretless" which was released as part of the movie "Until the end of the world" soundtrack and maybe as a B side. Maybe it was too dark to be included in "out of time".
