Not to mention if you played poe1 or you played poe2 and wants to play poe1, all ur purchases (stash tabs or mtx) are shared to both games meaning you can use the stash tabs and pet you just purchased in poe1 also! And if you purchased the $30 and wants to upgrade to the $100 then your purchase will be discounted with the first pack youve purchased so $100 pack is now $70 !

TLDR: It's basically poe2 with extreme power creep. Bosses are designed well and the overall game is fun in a different way. All the poe2 current league mechanics in the endgame already exist in poe1 with a whole lot more league mechanics to discover.
Stuff that haven't made it into poe2 are:
Blight, Delve, Heist, Syndicate, Einhar, Alva(temple of atzoatl), Affliction, Sentinel, Legion(a community favourite), Harbingers, Abyss, Harvest, Rogue exiles, Torment, Lord's Labyrinth, Beyond(kind of exists in poe2 but not fully), Shaper Guardians, Elder Guardians, Synthesis, Conqueror's.
There's also leagues that were not made core in poe1 like:
Trial of the Ancestors, Necropolis, Crucible, Metamorph(used to be core), prophecy(used to be core) etc.
    Main differences between two games:
in poe1 you'll scale and use at most 1 or 2 abilities or else you'll feel powerless against most content.
Poe1 is much more faster, with entire 10 acts can be done in only about 12-15 hours if you're a new player.
Poe1 bosses feel trivial up until endgame, in the endgame they feel like act bosses of poe2.
Gearing in the game is difficult and easy in different ways, it is easier to get better rare items and the modifiers you want, however the sockets for gems need to be the same color as the gem you're socketing, which makes it harder to get the right item you want.
Poe1's crafting is vastly superior than the current version of poe2's crafting, like not even close, it's like comparing a mountain with a pebble.
In poe1 on most builds, your mana will be reserved down to 3-5% mana for auras and the rest will be used with mana leech so you can keep using your skills
In poe1 there's 5 flask slots which you can put flasks with different buffs and they're very powerful, they can be made automatic but only in endgame and with enough investment for gaining charges.
Poe1 has about 10 times more unique items than poe2 which opens up even more build options.
Poe1 uber bosses require extreme amounts of investments to kill, to the point where some builds just will not be good enough to fight them, however if you wish to finish all content except ubers, you can do so with any kind of skill and build with enough and right investment.
Poe1 has so many discovered interactions and build variations that might pique your interest. Unlike poe2 where most people are sticking to their class, in poe1 there are builds like spell totems on marauder, explosive arrow ballista's on witch, sword skills on shadow etc.
Ascending in poe1 is much more easier than in poe2, trial of the sechemaz is an optional side content in poe1 called the forbidden sanctum. You instead need to do Lord's labyrinth 4 times, which gets increasingly difficult with each ascention, but it's extremely trivial if you know what you're doing.

Also I forgot to say, but if you want to start playing poe1, start with Settler's of kalguur league because currently, there's no way to respec using gold other than in that league. It'll be a way better experience for beginners.

  • @ladnil
    @ladnil 6 дней назад +1

POE1 has the build-up of a decade of seasonal content, most of which was rolled in to the core game, so walking through it and seeing the carnival of in map events that pop up can be an overwhelming experience. It also explains itself a lot more poorly, both in plot/narrative and in how its systems and abilities work. Making your own build is a recipe for disaster until you have a pretty significant amount of experience, because there are a lot of ways to screw up in a way that it's easier to start over from scratch than to fix it (though we'll see if they implement gold based respec next season, that might solve that problem). The visuals have improved over the years but they're still dated, and it lacks WASD support and controllers aren't as good as POE2's.
But it's also an absolute masterpiece. The power scaling from waking up on the beach and struggling to beat a zombie to death with a hunk of driftwood until you're turbo zooming through the galaxy and adding as many optional difficulty modifiers to the gods you're killing as you can find to boost your loot even further is insane, in a good way. And the endgame is a lot better developed. POE2's endgame still needs work before it's release ready.

    1500 hours in poe1. aAmazinf !
i'm witch level84 end game t15 map. and..... i played poe1 for 2 league kulgar settle it's insane fun. i learnt soooo much.
k*** me im only 2 weeks in and im end game.
i still have 5 more class to play to level 80 to learn.
by that time there be another 6 new classes. the value is insane. i'm sooo happy for the chase n learning.
1 major tip. max ur rarity 100-200% on gear n charm. even t1 - t 5 maps drop tons on currency n divine (my first.)
and take the " biome knowledge " atlas tee nodes for more currency drops.
for now i'm mainly farming for currencies for my alt new character soon.
also use gold more get more sell gold to buy t1 map to go very far. get more towers and tablets.
*** major tips. league mechanics in poe2 is Extremely Rippy in high tier like t13-t15.
*** it's ways easier just run t1 map and go for mechanics for "distill currencies etc". breach n delirium is pain.
another is if "the place is corrupted+ irradiated(+2 levels). t15 maps becomes t18 maps! (bosses drop tons on t11-15 maps.)
for citadel iron and copper... u have to go t1 map, chase towers very far to get. but there's a lot all near "sea water". (not in main land.)
i bought d4 it was fun. but it made me sleepy in 2weeks.
this is so much harder than d2 and poe1. we are in ruthless / part hard core (1 death portal) now, exile. so give ur self some rest n slack.... recharge write notes, refresh and speed spamming. 😎😍🥰😁😉
hope it helps... welcome exile. these 5 years gona be fun. ❤🎉

for now the game early access to test gpu issue and see which part to optimize.
to be honest the specs for early access is quite high to play stable . but it's early access so it made sense to troubleshoot now for optimisation before full public release.

If you see negative comments about PoE2, all you're seeing is people spewing negativity because they can. It's immensely popular. And it's not even what D4 should have been. It's what Diablo 3(!) could have been. The dark atmosphere, the simple yet complex mechanics. It's SO much better than diablo has been since diablo 2. Diablo 2 had the best damn cinematics possible, and deserved a good sequel. Blizzard has shit the bed pretty hard in the diablo microcosm ever since.
The gameplay in D4 is decent. But it came out unfinished. And playing it even now, you run out of content pretty quick. All classes feel lackluster in endgame. And especially because of the viable builds available, most ppl end up following a guide and it so linear and has no proper progression.
PoE2 is hard. The right kind of hard. The kind of hard where all decisions matter. All pieces of gear matter. I haven't even reached maps yet, but I have faith that GGG will polish it and release a game with a satisfying leveling experience as well as an improved endgame.

Agree with you 100%. Played Diablo series since it launched and became quite the fanboy. Never gave PoE a chance till D4 launched. I downloaded PoE only to realize a PoE2 was almost here so I dabbled with PoE a bit but mostly waited on PoE2 EA. Game doesn't disappoint and it's everything D4 should have been. Granted there are a few issues I'd like to see resolved, some already have and probably the majority will be over the course of EA. Only issue I really have is gearing. I'm standard SSF and I've hit walls on a lot of my characters. If you don't trade it's too easy to hit these walls because if you don't have high RNG then you just won't upgrade gear enough and by Act 3 you are hitting like a wet noodle. If they turned the trade system into more like an insta-buy auction house I might would consider it but it seems so rudimentary having to go on a website then track the player down in-game. I would rather just find my own gear, upgrade, or craft my own gear but the crafting in PoE2 is merely upgrade simulator. Other than that, game is absolutely worth the price of admission at $30 because even that money you can purchase ingame stash tabs or cosmetics.

Current blizzard is what happens when you fire all of your actual talent, replace them with a bunch of activists, and then market to as "wide of an audience as possible" instead of making a game for an actual audience the genre is meant for. You get nothing but toned down slop that have all their identity ripped out of them to make them "safe."
This is why i havent played a AAA game in years (other than Monster Hunter). AA and indie games are the only ones who arent afraid to make games that are actual fun and have identity to them and GGG goes far above and beyond with their games.

The game has a solid foundation and the best boss fights ive experienced in any Arpg that ove played but theres so many issues with it in its current state that makes me question people that endlessly praising it.
Crafting being a complete gambling simulator with item like omens that can lessen the RNG are so rare they may as well not exist.
Maps being so big that it feels like a slog to move through them, even with 30% movement speed on boots.
The end game maping feels AI generated with overly punishing death mechanics that dont respect rhe players time.
Magic find being so potent that once you find out how much of an impact it makes with currency drops you kick youself for not getting it earlier.
In death effects still popping off and frustrating players even after the last patch.

I changed some stuff around according to what felt best. but as a casual, I /hate/ farming the same bosses over and over and over and over. its so BORING.
    PoE fixed that.
they have SO many end game mechanics. if I feel like playing fuckin tower defense instead of farming bosses, I can. All gear is tradeable and all end game activities can generate you currency.
Hell, I know there are people that play PoE just to "play the market". they sit in their base all day and trade. because they find that enjoyable. that sounds awful to me, but the fact that there are so many different ways to play is absolutely amazing.
PoE2 has half, or less, of PoE1's content. but GGG is planning on adding much more later. and the content that is current available does still provide players with several options for how they want to play "end game".
The feel of the game is completely different, but that's not a bad thing. I think its really interesting. I'm actually quite enjoying the dodge roll, and I like that if you are skilled enough you can overcome bosses that may outlevel/outgear you. or vice versa. if you suck at Souls games like me, then you can just farm up a bit then try the boss again later. having the option of skill expression is amazing.
I am a little disappointed with the current mapping in PoE2, and am sad that they already nerfed meta/trigger abilities. But the gameplay itself is fresh enough that I'm still playing it despite my go-to builds from PoE1 not being available. and I'm REALLY excited for the new classes that were not available in PoE1.
*I think many players are a bit disappointed with the mapping, and it'll probably get tweaked soon
    as some random bonus facts:
    1. GGG gave me a beta key just for having spent a lot of money on PoE1
    2. I only spent that much money on PoE1 because I wanted to support them. I didnt even like the cosmetics I got from buying that top tier supporter pack. I just thought they deserved it.
    3. they are planning to allow ALL purchased PoE1 microtransactions to be available for use in PoE2. right now they're not yet implemented, but that's so fucking nice of them. I actually feel like a valued customer, and that I didn't waste my money

Not quite. POE2 feels like a slog fest. Slow and boring. D4 is not an authentic D2 remake either. That’s what everyone compares D4 too.

GGG is a great company. A LOT of the systems in PoE2 are from PoE1. It's a different game, similar. Try it though, GGG is a good company. Would recommend a build guide until you understand the way things work.

You should play the next season of the original PoE (probably february). End game has much more content (more pinnacle bosses, search youtube for Shaper, Sirus and Maven) and gameplay is faster.
