I only remembering talking to him in the car, after that I have no memory except after waking up several hours later in my bed. It really didn't hurt at all, but lights were really bright and disorienting.

The eye surgeon (Glenn Kawesch) who did the surgery died in 2007 of a heart attack. Reading about the guy on the internet, he definitely would not have been my first choice to perform the surgery. Let's just say he had some skeletons hanging in his closet.
Glenn Kawesch's death was very odd. A few years before he died, he had all sorts of legal problems and even went to prison for five months. (It was reported that was sending money to an offshore tax haven in some complicated agreement to avoid taxes on his income - which was over $9 million.) What seems to be rather odd to me was how he went to Cancun Mexico for a week long vacation even though he was married, then he coincidently passes away from a heart attack that he had in his sleep at the age of 46. Just sounds very peculiar if you ask me.

Me too. I'm at 20/200 and I only 'see' the big E on the chart because I know it's an E lol. I havent met a person who hasnt regretted getting the surgery though.🤷🏻♀️
She was like me, almost legally blind. I know the big E is at the top of the eye charts, but had I not known it was an E then I couldn’t have read it bc it was too blurry. My lasik was great in 2009, but my vision has started to noticeably worsen again after a decade. I’ll probably have to do it again.

Its a small laser that reshapes your eye. Jessica choose to have the flap process done which makes your vision better right after surgery. If you don't mind having blurry vision for a day or two after than you can get the simple laser which does no slicing what so ever but has the same end results.
You know it is old when they are using a tube tv lol. Lasik has come so far in technology since. I believe this is PRK, but basically uses a blade and a laser. Wavefront Lasik is bladeless now and much more accurate.
Look at it like this... If you were to accidentally get cut on your eye as long as its no deeper than the cornea... All those eye injuries heal within 72 hours.. And lasik they only cut the top layer of the cornea anyways... I'm not scared. Anymore... I go in two days to get mine!! Wish me luck!

It's weird lol, but after I take any kind of benzodiazepine (valium is a benzodiazepine) I get super hungry and eat and pass out lol. They gave her valium before the surgery, and then they give you more after and you're supposed to go home and sleep and take off the eye pads the next day. Maybe she was hungry bc of the pills? Those pills affect you so crazy, I used to have bottles and bottles of them bc I never took my prescription bc of weird side effects like that.

I would think the eye doctors office did. The license plate says "I can see". They probably sent it because they more or less cater to the stars and dont want them driving themselves home if they dont have a driver to take them home themselves.
I went straight home and went to sleep too. The doctor told me to take a 2-4 hr nap. I woke up and it was amazing...I could see each blade of grass outside, but sadly mine has faded a bit in one eye. I don’t know how Jess went out for a burger afterwards!! My eyes were too sensitive for the first hour post surgery--I couldn’t even open them.

My husband had the same surgery and was in a lot of pain afterward. He was like Jessica, couldn’t open his eyes or lift his head up. I had to call the doctor when we got home to let him know that my husband couldnt open his eyes and was in a lot of pain. The doctor gave me instructions over the phone to take out his temporary contact lense. I did and it was immediate relief. Something about the temporary contact was irritating his eyeball. Everyone is different and reacts differently to procedures. I really don’t think Jessica was faking in this episode.

I had this done its painless , when they laser your eye it smells like burning hair lol took about 20 seconds an eye , best thing ive ever done. EDIT : oh wait they had a different one they actually cut the eye.... yuck.. my one was much nicer procedure

I had this done its painless , when they laser your eye it smells like burning hair lol took about 20 seconds an eye , best thing ive ever done. EDIT : oh wait they had a different one they actually cut the eye.... yuck.. my one was much nicer procedure

When I took my ex to get lasik in 2017 they gave out 0.5 mg of Xanax to him and others there (big man probably like 260 lbs and a small woman like 120 lbs). Didn’t hear them offer more
