I found that Flat to Screen notes are not exported to Creo *.pvz file. However there is no issue when creating a *.pdf file. I use Creo 9.0.8.0. Wonder where am I going wrong.
I stole it from a PTC model. I'll put the symbol, model, and template on my Dropbox on my website later today so people can download them and play with them. I'll let you know when they are available. They really need to implement tables in MBD. I believe PTC is reconsidering their stance in that area.
There's a zip file called MBD-Template at www.creowindchill.com/dropbox and it has three different symbol files, although I can't remember what's different between them. All the files should open in Creo Parametric 2.0 and later.

I get this message: title_block.sym was created in a newer release of Creo Parametric. error reading symbol file. symbol not retrieved. I can open your drawing and see everything. it looks great. I just can't edit that symbol and make my own copy according to that message.
Good question. My response is probably more than what I can put in a RUclips comment. Prior to his leaving PTC, I used to hound Rafael (program manager for 2D and 3D drawings) about the lack of support for tables. He said that MBD wasn't meant to replicate a drawing in parts and assemblies. Without tables you obviously can't do BOMs or tables critical for cables and piping. I struggle with this, especially at my day job. It appears to me that MBD might intend for BOMs to be managed by separate Parts Lists generated from a Product Structure in a Product Data Management (PDM) system like Windchill. And I can see how MBD in 3D mode supports cross-highlighting between objects in the tree and the graphics area, which can be an excuse for not needing balloons (I don't buy it). As far as routed systems, I don't see how they can currently be managed in MBD. This is not a short nor direct answer, but it's a complicated situation. MBD is still evolving, and it might not have direct analogs to everything we see on a drawing today - and that might be the intent.
Tables in MBD should be introduced in Creo 8. The Product Manager for MBD has been soliciting feedback from users for the past couple years on what people want in this functionality. If you want to influence future development, I highly recommend getting involved in the PTC Community Working Groups.

Those symbol files are from Creo 2.0. Can you retrieve them into the Symbol Gallery? How are you trying to open them? You can't open them directly.
