Highlights: Visit the Kalpa village, with a view of Kinner Kailash.
Day 8: Kalpa to Nako
Distance: ~110 km
Drive Time: ~5-6 hours
Highlights: Visit Nako Lake and the monastery.
Day 9: Nako to Tabo
Distance: ~60 km
Drive Time: ~3 hours
Highlights: Visit Tabo Monastery, known as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas."
Day 10: Tabo to Kaza
Distance: ~50 km
Drive Time: ~2-3 hours
Highlights: Visit Dhankar Monastery, Key Monastery, and Kibber Village.
Exploring Spiti Valley
Day 11: Kaza to Hikkim, Komic, Langza
Highlights: Visit the highest post office in Hikkim, Komic - one of the highest villages, and the fossil village of Langza.
Day 12: Kaza to Chandratal Lake
Distance: ~100 km
Drive Time: ~5-6 hours
Highlights: Visit the stunning Chandratal Lake, and stay overnight in camps.
Tips for the Road Trip:
Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained for long drives and mountainous terrain.
Keep spare tires, essential tools, and first-aid kits handy.
Plan for fuel stops, as they can be sparse in remote areas.
Check the weather conditions and road status, especially for Spiti Valley.
Acclimatize to the high altitudes gradually to avoid altitude sickness.
