This is a book written in the context of the riot which prevailed in Kolkata in 1946, specifically on the dates of 16th to 19th of August. Thousands and thousands of people were killed in this riot. A very important role was played by Mr Gopalchandra Mukhopadhhaya alias Gopal Patha. It was because of him that the riot ultimately ended and importantly, Kolkata was saved from belonging to the Pakistan province. A must read to know the history of India.
