This is one of the best song breakdowns I have ever seen. Having the band explain and play the song is so much more easy to see than a standard guitar playthrough. And it is awesome seeing how the minds of the members of my favorite band work. Can we please have the same from Fredrik Lennartsson and Christopher Wallerstedt? Please keep these videos coming.
The metal world has been waiting for a band like Orbit Culture for a very long time. You play metal exactly how I want to hear it...and every metal head I've talked to says the same thing, and they listen to different variants than I do. You've created a monster...keep it going!!!!
Fucking fantastic! Definitely one of the greatest bands to have emerged in the last decade. Can't wait to see these guys make it big and catch them live some day!
Love your performance for SiriusXM! Hopefully you can give us some touring dates soon. Thanks for hanging out in the Orbit Culture facebook-group and discord
MY TAKE: Orbit Culture is the incarnation of NEXT LEVEL MUSICIANSHIP. I hail from 1969 and as a musician, guitar player I have seen decades of changes and thousands of new bands and genre after genre evolve into present day. Orbit Culture has a formula that is beautifully complex, percussive, theatrical, HUGE story telling as if every single track was created for a movie soundtrack. The vocals would make James Hetfield grin for sure! The power behind the vocals is different in that, they are inflective and not mush, they are skull crushing and tear through the universe and yet heart warming. Brilliant! The guitars are rad af, percussive, creative, staccato, melodic and meaningful. Not a note too much or too less. Perfect! Bass is HUGE and it’s such a pleasure to ‘feel’ the bass driving through the tunes and at time the bass is incredibly amplified which again, is a delight! The drums. The drums… there is a beautiful balance of driving beats that keep the listener movin’ and the added intricacies of speed and triplets are incredible. There is a huge level of creativity here! LOVE IT! The production is incredible. Absolutely brilliant and enormous. Nothing was left on the table and it clearly shows in each track. UNREAL! Overall, I feel Orbit Culture is my new favorite band of ALL genres. I encourage everyone to listen to Orbit Culture’s Next Level Melodic Death Metal as it is pure LIFE for many a listener. #1
wait a song walk-through so you can actually understand everything and dont need to rewatch every single second 20times - these guys actually care for their fans !
I was kinda expecting Rickard or Niklas just say "When we get to the end of the song we switched to ultra thick power cables". Ending of Flight of the Fireflies trembles the foundations of the Earth.
Even though you guys are very well known and loved in the metal scene, I'm ALWAYS thinking to myself just how underrated you guys are. I honestly believe that, right now, June 6th, 2023, Orbit Culture is hands down the #1 metal band on the planet that's currently in its prime years. I don't even think there is a close 2nd place either....
HaHa, you guys are hilarious. Well I just play something like that and he plays something like this... and out comes the most amazing music ever. Thanks for sharing and hope the new album will put your name up there for the masses! Greetings from the westcoast (Sweden that is)
Gotta stay true to reality that Joe + Christian from Gojira are also top league ;-) So let's say that there's no 'best' in the business, but they are both in top 3 of current progressive death metal ^^
So…from Drop A you go -7 semitones…Double fcking Drop D…damn guys, you are CRAAAAZY hahahaha. I wish you make more videos like this teaching how to play the songs or the tunings (which I struggled figuring out so hard in the EP and older albums…cuz the tone was so nasty in attack) tho I feel a little low cuz I thought you tuned D Standard and I was like: no fucking waaaaay, yeeees! And whoops…I will get a Drop A guitar just because of you guys! I love the tuning, is really underrated (go home Drop G#, too much Metalcore for the day xd) Keep it up! ❤️🔥🤟🏽
I think even if I knew how to play guitar, I'd still have a tough time with this. lol. Pure talent! I remember in my band in high school, the guitarists would tune drop D. Though, I'm not sure how that compares to drop A. haha! Can't wait for US tours one day. I'll be there front and center!
Bravo👏👏👏👏👏It looks so easy with you, but it's not 🎸So I like to watch people who know what they are doing 👍 This is how your perfect sound is created that I love so much and don't want to miss anymore ❤️💪Friday can come, I'm excited 🤗💋
I still want to know more about your gear, how you get that low on 6 strings not baritone with low scales, the gauge in your strings, the pedals, etc. You know?... hahaha love your music
you guys are so heavy and awesome .i hope i see you on swedenrock 2022 .take care stay safe .wish good luck in the future and the new ep on friday.👍👍👍👍🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎
Nija is a very very good album (all your albums too). Shaman (EP) sounds... very good. I hope you're going to make an new album in 2022... & a live if you can. Orbit Culture is one of my favorite band of modern melodic death metal. Greetings from France guys.
Hi Y.P., I'm just interested in what you mean by Shaman "sounds...terrible"? No hate, just wondering do you mean the production sound (the mix of the actual sound) or just the songs themselves let you down? Because my opinion is they sound as huge as ever and I love each and every song. But that's just one opinion.
Carvings next??? Awesome play through guys, love the new EP, just wish there were more songs to enjoy. Keep up the awesome work, from Australia 🇦🇺🤘🇦🇺🤘🇦🇺🤘🇦🇺🤘🇦🇺🤘
The song is very cool, and the walkthrough is pretty useful and cood montaged, thanx, but sound guys managed to pan your guitars all the way to the sides, so it is not that easy to enjoy those parts, when each of you playing alone. I understand that this was made for the riffs sound to sound heavier (as a double-tracking), but it isn't necessary here, that's my opinion. Anyway, thank you for this video)
You guys should use 7 strings. You'll get that down tuned sound so much easier and you'll have a lot more versatility with them. It'll fit that blackened sound you guys got going on.

100% agree
Definitely dropping one for the Algo, these guys are too good

One day I will see Orbit Culture live...one day
Seen them twice in the past year. They don't disappoint!!
Saw them in February. Amazing show. They can do no wrong.
