I used this program last spring and was thrilled to get a pomegranate tree and a strawberry tree. My kids planted them for me on Mother’s Day so I didn’t have to struggle with digging in the clay around here! Nice to see you back on RUclips in your new house.
Mine is still pretty small but doing well. My daughter got one through SMUD a couple years ago and she loves it! The flowers are gorgeous and the little fruits are pretty and edible. It’s done very well for her in a sunny front yard with clay soil also.
Ah yes, buy a jackhammer... Dig a wide hole not a deep hole. Dig a square hole not a round hole. Break up the edges and add gypsum to the hole and the surrounding soil. Mix the existing soil from the hole with premium top soil and add it back in

That’s great, I’m glad to hear you had a similar experience! How do you like your strawberry tree?

I got a pomegranate and a Pineapple Guava. They’re doing good and the pineapple guava is beautiful.
