    表演藝術類入圍團隊:唐美雲歌仔戲團︱燕歌行
    唐美雲歌仔戲團本著「承傳統、創新局」的宗旨,在劇本、編腔、服飾、道具、及布景的運用上,都強調以人性和史實為主軸。近年公演的作品,進一步嘗試以管弦樂和國樂的搭配應用,結合傳統戲曲的編曲、唱腔,將歌仔調之美融入現代舞台技術,凸顯歌仔戲「以人為主體」的美學傳統。
    本屆入圍的《燕歌行》,是唐美雲歌仔戲團創團十五週年大戲,也十足凝聚了該團追求創新突破的種種磨練和諸多經驗。《燕歌行》的編劇,挑戰了負面人物難為戲曲主角的傳統迷思,為一向被評議為爭奪權力和愛情而殘害手足的曹丕,做了內心世界的探索,人格形象的改造和歷史功過的平反。
    《燕歌行》的演出,除了探討主要三角的內心歷程,也嚐試以「不死靈」、「曹操的魂魄」等虛構角色來傳達曹丕糾纏的內心。這類西方劇場語彙的導入,除了令主角的心情轉折更容易被觀眾了解,也為整齣戲增添了活潑及歡樂的色調。於此,
    精緻細膩、極具現代劇場感的舞臺,成功結合了傳統歌仔戲菁華及西方劇場概念;而東方鑼鼓及西方管弦的串場對話,除了烘托歌仔戲以台語演唱特有「聲情」之美,也為全劇增添了創新迷人的氣象。
    Tang Mei Yun Taiwanese Opera Company - Deathless Beauty
    The goal of Tang Mei Yun Taiwanese Opera Company is to "present the traditional art with innovation." The scripts, tunes, costumes, art design and settings are set in accord with humanity as well as historical authenticity. In recent years, by mixing orchestra, traditional Chinese music instruments, the arrangement and vocal music of Chinese opera, and the stage technology of the modern theater, the traditional aesthetics of Taiwanese opera, which has the performers as the dramatic subject is well highlightes.
    Deathless Beauty is Tang Mei Yun Taiwanese Opera Company's 15th anniversary masterpiece, which exemplifies the company's innovation and efforts over the years. The playwright takes on the challenges, making Cao Pi, a negative historical figure, the main protagonist of the show. It is a psychological discovery of Cao Pi, who used to be deemed as a power monger and brother killer, as well as transformation and justification for this historical figure.
    The story of Deathless Beauty not only focuses on the psychological development of the three characters, it also delivers the complex of Cao Pi by adding fictional roles, such as "the eternal soul" and "Cao Cao's ghost." By introducing western theater aesthetics, it is easier for the audience to understand the protagonists and also makes the show more entertaining. The combination of traditional Taiwanese opera with western theater, including mixing oriental music ensemble with western orchestra used as scenes transitions, helps the tone of Taiwanese opera standout beautifully.

    曹 氏兄弟和甄宓的愛情故事一向廣受文人作品和民間通俗文藝所附會想像。編劇在曹丕名著《燕歌行》中,讀到了這個男人「寂寞到了底」的心情,試圖從曹丕的感受 說故事。全劇並不從人性的弱點、宮廷爭鬥的複雜,抑或是非善惡的難斷入筆,而從曹丕堅持不肯下令毀滅《洛神賦》的情感和識見,去刻劃他的胸襟,可謂不落俗 套。最值得玩味的,是此劇將愛情從三人的關係中淡化。這三個人所追尋的,與其說是愛情,不如說是自我。曹丕痛失所愛,然而他並未幻想甄宓對他的深情,所痛 之至深者,其實是自己無邊的孤寂。
    Comments from the Semi-Selection Jury: Lin, Ho-Yi
    The love triangle between the Cao brothers and Lady Zhen has been very popular among writers and are told in lots of folklore. The scriptwriter tries to re-interpret the story from Cao Pi's perspective after reading Cao Pi's desperate loneliness from his poem, Yan Ge Xing. Instead of addressing the human weaknesses, representing the royal politics or providing judgmental justification, the play tells the psychological journey of Cao Pi from his refusal to burn Cao Zhi's Nymph of the Luo River. It is an unconventional experiment. Also, the drama downplays the love triangle between these three protagonists and focuses more on their personal pursuit and self-identity. Cao Pi lost his beloved woman, but he did not dwell on the fantasy of Lady Zhen's affection for him. Instead, what he suffered from was the endless loneliness he felt.
