This project is a silica dust restoration and clean up. As these concrete foundation walls get wet, they start to break down. This causes effervescence (bubbling of the paint or silica dust break down) to build up on the foundation walls. This must be removed prior to applying a new layer of paint to the walls. OSHA Silica Dust Standard dictates that when removing effervescence from block walls, you must isolate the area with a containment and wear the proper PPE to avoid exposure. If anyone has any questions about these OSHA standards please leave them in the comments below.
If you have any indoor air quality concerns please feel free to give us a call anytime at 302-518-7487. If you want to see any other types of IAQ projects or just have questions about something going on in your home, please feel free to call me anytime, or comment down below. Thank you all for watching, thank you all for your time, and we look forward to seeing you on the next video.
Allow yourself to breathe easy with RMR.
Building a containment and setting up negative air pressure is the most important part of any remediation or restoration project to isolate the indoor air quality issue. A lot of companies don't do this to save money. Good job setting everything up and making sure everyone in the building is safe. Great video keep it up
Isolation to prevent cross contamination, if only every company did this. Great work guys
