I think the Surrey underrated for ranked, It is the most CV resistant ship at T7, The best long range AA and ability to recover health makes near pointless to attack, It has average DPS but effective against all ship types. It's armour is better then most people think, plane based anti sub and 9.7 concealment makes a very strong all-rounder. If you want more out of the guns and can make 11.1km concealment work, you can run heavy HE, DE and AR plus the spotter plane CS. Never use its AP it's crap even close in.
Maybe I missed it and you will probably furiously disagree but I enjoy using Yukon. It's short range isn't much of a problem in Ranked and with 21 Points you can be very very tanky, printing a new ships after the enemy tries to burn you down over and over again.
I like how the worst thing flolo can say about the helena is that it lacks radar lol Edit: It’s even funnier when you realize Helena is Tier 7, where only a select few premium ships even get radar
Valid reason, why some people play T6 here: They know they are not very good themselves. They also know, they get mirror matched against another T6. So they reduce their own impact on the game and also weaken the other side in the process.
Theres also pretty good and "rare" t6 ships, where if you are good, you can still perform as good as a T7 while almost guaranteeing to gimp the enemy team.
You also force another tier 6 ship into the enemy team so if you are very good or bring in an OP tier 6 you may give your team an advantage. I try to do this with T-61 but usually just end up wither another T-61 on the enemy team!
Just got to my Silver qualifications last night, and I was looking for your T7 ranked list (watched your T5 one, thanks). Thanks for being in sync with my progress.
My rotation is going to be T61, Fiji, Haida, Florida, Huron, Warspite/Repulse, and maybe Gadjah Mada/Jervis. That way I have different flavors to keep it from going stale, but enough strong/meta ships that I'm planning to stay in silver for a while and keep a 70% winrate.
@@szabomark8693 lol if I had Belfast I would probably spam it too, but I get bored playing only 1 ship (even if it is OP) so I like to switch it up. I have Sinop, and it's probably the best BB for ranked, but I hate the troll dispersion so for my mental state I dont even bother with it.
Good list. Only one I really disagree with is Abruzzi. It's shell ballistics are close to Schors but it has a heal, DFAA, hydro, and it handles much better. The only real downsides is the fire chance is sorta bad (esp after taking IFHE) and range is 15.1....but Sansonetti can fix that. Torps also have 12km range. Maybe not A tier material but certainly better than D. I'd say strong B because has sustain from having 4 heals,
Agreed, she's a decent pick. I remember trying to damage Sinops with Gorizia and Zara: the SAP is helpless. But Abruzzi can just melt her deck with IFHE.
I'd put Hood up higher, she has great armor, 15" overmatch, improved pen angles for when you can't overmatch, DFAA for unfortunate CV games, good heal, can put Cunningham on for free for extra consumables with 2 kills. I pretty much exclusively played her last t7 ranked season and she performed great.
I saw in the chat, "T61" and that's what I thought the moment you said NOT to play T7. The Mass is step down in my experience. I also am pretty sure that if you look at the armor, the Lazo has slightly better armor than Schors and the advantage of range.
Id say Maya and Weimar are S tier cruisers. Mayas guns punish all the other cruisers while having torps to deal with BBs that you catch off guard. Weimar is similar to that but its torps reload quick enough to constantly mess with people who push your caps aggressively.
YUKON seems to have found a home for me in ranked 9 15 inch guns ........... 26mm bow ovwermatch1.9 sigma..lower fuse time..the rudder shift is way better thn kgv....and apears to have a super heal like nelson.........while this is a death trap in randoms..in ranked...its pretty good..take the spotter plane....u will see the range doesnt mtter so much in ranked 16 km range is comfortable...where in randoms its not...the turret traverse is kinda bad tho
4:00 I prefer izmail cause from my experience in over 200 ranked matches it has better consistency for the shells in terms of dispersion + I simply like the amount of guns and its much better imo to have the enemy get a tier 6 over a tier 7 if I'd pick sinop.
Yukon ain't thaat bad, accurate guns with quick fuse on the shells and a superheal. Armor is bad, speed is fine/good Lack of range ain't really that big of a deal
The video opens with the question why play a T6 ship when you can play T7. I'd offer one reason to play, and that is impact. The best part about a T6 in T6-7 ranked is you will always be matched against another T6 of your type (unless they do something funky with the match making). So, you are typically matched with either someone who is grinding a ship or who is a dumbass, to use the other two reasons. This is a good thing. In order to win in ranked, you want to have a net benefit compared to the ship you are matched with (unless you are intent on carrying) - i.e. impact. So, if you do 60k damage and your equivalent opposing ship does 40k damage, you had 20k more impact (skewed of course for cap points, etc.) So, if you have a good T6 ship, know how to use it, have a good captain for it, and can continue to outperform your opposing ship, you will probably come away with a solid win ratio with it. Especailly since you will be matched with people grinding ships and dumbasses. Now, if you are generally very good then this doesn't apply much, but it can be a decent reason if you are a more average player.
I think you're giving Shinonome too much credit tho. As well when comparing her to Hatsuharu. I used Hatsu a lot for Ranked and for good reasons. The comparison between them is like this. But probably they both sucks 😂. Just in no way i would think Shino will outperform Hatsu in ranked. Shino brings more raw firepower, but it is Hatsu actually has more chance to deliver the firepower. I like Sims not for star saving; I like it because it handles great and I'm very comfortable with USN DDs. I've played Fletcher and Gearing more than anything. I even played Gearing extensively in last ranked season. Sims, Kidd, Fletcher and Gearing are my comfort zone. I'm even weighing getting Black vs Sherman to spend my coal on next. Beyond that, Jervis and Haida are my alts for T7 ranked. I tend to rotate through Sims, Jervis and Haida for ranked. Gadjah is good too but DW torps and I don't have a ready captain for that. I have Huron now but I've yet to play it.
Gneisenau has more hitting DPM than Heinrich, yet "it's tragic" that people build her for secondary, whilst yourself built Heinrich for secondaries. Sweet. "Blyska is so shit these days" You should really stop raging 24/7 and start playing the game again. The content you put out was at least decent even though you were flaming every day but now it's just a meme...
Poltava is kinda a shitty Slava at Tier 7 it has super fast shells and very high penetration at short to medium range. Long range it has great HE for fire chance. I like it in RANKED and BRAWL because it is a short/mid range BB and you never get to do that in RANDOMS.
hah had to watch what should be good T7, funny thing i end up 62.5% WR whit Blyska and i agree its bad, just dont know why it worked so well. Blyska is amazing ship tho, that is if you dont play it.
Maas is really eh, especially considering that a Jervis does everything that Maas does but better. Pretty much the dilemma of the entire standard German DD line. No HE DPM, the British short range Hydro is just a better deal with the eternal action time, no conceal, shitty smoke. Torpedo DPM do nothing to redeem the profound uselessness in every other category.
God I know California is a laughing-stock of T7 BBs, but I genuinely think she's a good BB. Hell, I have a better time playing her than I did Florida, so.
MM should match tiers, so really only the latter hurts your team. Picking t6 will just make it harder to carry... and also probably to get games because no one else will be queuing up in t6.
I still watched the video but I’ll never get to silver league lol. T5 ranked is such a disaster. My whole team suicides in minutes. I can only win one game in 5.
I would rate the Z31 higher. Had a great time in the last T7 ranked season and carried a few games easily. It's great in any DD 1v1 due to the armor and great accuracy that allows to smash dd's that try to turn away. Maybe one reason it worked so well is because a lot of players think its hot garbage and go into a fight with only to be surprised by the armor and accuracy.
//I agree with Falmu's take on WG's choice of Nueve de Julio, considering the historical reality of it. I remember NoZoupForYou's bad take defending that one; which made the reason he got booted from the CC program, despite being the worst shill, unsurprising. I could go further in elaborating about him but I'll just leave it there.
He was booted because of twitter drama (covid vaccines and freedom etc) using his official twitter to spread misinformation . You can go check iChase channel, it should be there without much digging - since iChase stopped posting vids after 2021. Zoup was booted out of CC program in 2020, way after Nueve was launched (2018).
Tarigo is a really good dd killer for people with hands. The sap slaps so, so hard. The only dd i would take in a one vs one against the tarigo is a Huron because it has the heal and if he panic smokes you have the 4km hydro to punish him. The whole italian dd concept works very well at the low tiers up to t7. Short gun range, rush enemy dd with speed boost, kill enemy dd, get instantly dark due to the low dedection penalty for firing your guns. And while you can not yolo any full hp BB, you sure as hell can yolo damaged BBs later on in the match plus these torps might be slowish, but they reload fast and 10km range is actually pretty damn nice for the tier. Also while Haida is indeed awesome it has the issue, that the smoke has a long cool down and a long running time, so situational it can simply give ur position away, while you cant do anything aboout it. I had quite a few matches now, where i wished i was in a Jervis instead. Huron can be very strong in this ranked, because there are quite a few small maps with tons of islands in the cicle.
Fuso is the one tier 6 battleship where I dont feel bad about double uptieres. Good range, good accuracy and hard hitting guns. I absolutely bitch slapped a Tirpitz once with a 37k damage salvo at 12 km with 10 AP hits.
Yeah I imagine Mahan is not optimal against Haida, I was glad to be in my Minsk when I fought one. He gave me a hard time, but my railguns cost him his life. He got punished hard while kiting away. Seeing you put it in C, it IS a little challenging to play, but I did consistently well in it. I'd put it into B probably.
atlanta was the first light cruiser i got in the game i got it from a black friday container that was free and even after two years it is still one of my favorite ships in the game plus the commander rework helped it alot with everything since you dont have to spend points to get the range now
only thing that stands out to me in this list would be skane, i think it's pretty good, decent 6km aa, slightly faster and 12km torp but low dmg, pretty good conceil, average dpm, and heal
Yudachi has 2x4 15 km torps at 60 knots and it has the reload consumable, with medium max-damage at 15.6k, so it could have the edge on the Shinonome/Shiratstsuyu/Akatsuki for torpedo players. When it gets into any gunfight, it's gonna lose though.
Isn't Repulse with Speed Flag, Brisk skill & Engine Boost active while undetected the fastest T6 BB in the game pushing around 39.136 knots with Renown under the same conditions being the fastest Tech Tree T6 BB in the game pushing about 36.892 knots? Kinda ironic when you realise the Renown was the fastest capital ship in the fleet at 32.58 knots in trials still maintaining similar speed at about 31 after WW2 while Repulse was about 31.5 then dropping down to 30.5 ish yet Renown only gets 29.9 before modifiers in game.
There are some Tier VI ships in which I do better than the Tier VII of the same nationality. Fubuki > Akatsuki or Shiratsuyu Andrea Doria > Francesco Caracciolo Ernst Gaede & T-61 > Leberecht Maass Gallant & Icarus > Jervis The Flamu orthodoxy doesn't hold true for everyone.
"Why would you pick a T6? over a T7" - Does matchmaking not match tier-for-tier in ranked? Because if it does, then forcing a T6 (and, as per Flamuu's own argument, a potato probably grinding the ship) onto the enemy team, while you have a T6 ship that can still wallop T7s gives your team a quantifiable advantage?
Since both silver and gold are infested with Subs and CVs in the current season i stay in bronze on purpose. Vauquelin is an amazing pick for that. It just murders other DDs. And against hydro DDs you just need to be patient. Make them smoke up and use their hydro, then disengage. After around 2 mins you can go butcher them with your reload booster.
CV's is the only reason T6 was included.... Shinonome? Frankly, I find it much harder to use than a normal, Fabuki. Fabuki's 10km torps tend to keep you at a safer distance, than the 8K torps of the Shinonome. And Shinonome is not a gun boat...even if it looks like one. I do well in the Maas, though. I don't do well in the Jervis.... it's low speed gets me killed.
Had a good start with Heinrich - straight to R5. But now i start to hate it the main guns are such a bullshit. Sometimes the dispersion is the worst of all ship, but ok its WG. But what i really hate are those low dmg hits on broadside BBs vs. no armor itself. When a broadside Gneisenau does the same dmg with 3 hits to your angled ship, like you with 12 hits to him...
Wasn't it the other way around with the Boise and the NdJ? Like they decided to add NdJ and then thought "oh, wait, this used to be a prison ship, people might not want to buy it out of moral concerns, let's add the identical US version so people can feel good about themselves"?
Been running Hyuga to get my silver qualifications and I won or saved star nearly all my games (and got into silver, and promptly stopped playing WoWS for the last week lol). I find most players don't seem to know what she is and what she can do with the reload booster. Outside of that she has great range, enough guns that she can cause decent damage just with volume of fire, and she is tankier then she should be. I think it may have to do with the huge torpedo bulge eating up shells that would otherwise do a lot of full pen damage. Whatever the case she fits my play style and I can make her perform in battle, and that is what matters.
An odd idea make ranked only for tech tree ships and give bonus xp for surviving more than 5 minutes, getting a kill, surviving the game, or getting over 50k damage.
I will choose Huanghe over Perth, which has lower DPM, but better everything else, it is very OP on t6. Mutsu has faster torpedo reload then guns reload, if you want to brawl with a BB and know how to use it, this ship is huge surprise to the enemy.
I think the only ship I fully disagree on is Leander. Smoke, heal and hydro give it a lot of utility and good conceal. It still out-performs it's tier despite the endless nerfs it gets. I'd take a Leander over say Abruzzi any day. I like Icarus; ok conceal, UK DD Smokes and hydro gives it utility. It'll struggle against the top T7 DDs but can at least do work.
One potential error... Akatsuki conceal is 6.1 you said 7.2, must not have had a captain in it. With the conceal dropping from 7.2 to 6.1 do you change your assessment vs the 5.8 Shiratsu? The + for Akat as you said is highest Torpedo DPM in the game...
I think Lazo is pretty strong at T7, it has a high fire chance, around 20km range (with spotter plane) and gets to reuse spotter plane with a 10 second cooldown, with the relevant captain skills to improve spotter plane allocation, you have 20km range, at T7 for most of the game (if it goes the distance). Its shells are pretty quick, so it can park up behind an island, and saturate targets for fun
i had a great time in her tbh, you get a kind of semi russian bb with good but not great survivability, ridiculous pen but no overmatch since you only have 356mm guns. her 1km turn radius hurts and you also get only okay-ish concealment.... she is uhhhhh... imo she is not that bad as some people would say she is. lets put it this way: you enjoy and perform good in her? go for it, if not pick something else, easy as that🙂
Hold up you glossed over the fact that the yudachi has smoke and torp reload booster that thing can flood and area with long range torps and escape almost anything with smoke.... Edit: also they are 15km torps with pretty decent speed 57 knot base and 15k damage.
only because yudachi is an absolute meme played by weebs who saturate chat with overused poi phrases from a 12 year old jpeg collection game for virgins

Hell, I have a better time playing her than I did Florida, so.
Harming your own team by picking T6 or bad ships.. never heard of that in wows.
MM should match tiers, so really only the latter hurts your team. Picking t6 will just make it harder to carry... and also probably to get games because no one else will be queuing up in t6.
what do you think about west virgina 43' ? it's good for ranking ? where would you place it?
I still watched the video but I’ll never get to silver league lol. T5 ranked is such a disaster. My whole team suicides in minutes. I can only win one game in 5.
I picked ranked by mistake, played the izmail and won my first ranked game.
So it seems S = Good, A = OK, B = Not terrible, C = Bad, D = Bad and everything else is awful?
First ranked game with Florida I got 100k and killed some stupid sinop who let me do a drive by on him
I would rate the Z31 higher.
I wonder why the WG losers include t6 and not just make it t7.
Hmm....
I purposely play a tier 6 in 6-7 ranked and do amazing. Farragut
Nice thanks. All these time stamps you are the best
82% win rate with a 12 vs 12 understand the MM is fixed no matter how good u are it is statistically impossible..
They definitely only made it T6 and 7 so that cvs can still be there
Was it mentioned that both Boise and Julio get super heals on a T7 CL hull?
It wasn't, but I would guess that's the reason they're in A tier.
Another reason to play t6 rather than t7 is that you can play carrier on t6 and carry your team by spotting/killing dds
Fuso is the one tier 6 battleship where I dont feel bad about double uptieres. Good range, good accuracy and hard hitting guns. I absolutely bitch slapped a Tirpitz once with a 37k damage salvo at 12 km with 10 AP hits.
The "S" in "Sinop" stands for "Sinop is OP". The "op" in "Sinop" stands for "OP".
sinop is actually short for sinfully overpowered.
I'd put it into B probably.
atlanta was the first light cruiser i got in the game i got it from a black friday container that was free and even after two years it is still one of my favorite ships in the game plus the commander rework helped it alot with everything since you dont have to spend points to get the range now
The rework was actually very bad for Atlanta and Flint, as it got range and penetration nerfs.
Totally wrong about the Algerie @Flamu.
only thing that stands out to me in this list would be skane, i think it's pretty good, decent 6km aa, slightly faster and 12km torp but low dmg, pretty good conceil, average dpm, and heal
help me to pass bronze first. lol
But they have 1.9km conceal..... if they were 1.7km maybe it would be good.
No mention of MUTSU...
I love the Haida...
Fubuki > Akatsuki or Shiratsuyu
Andrea Doria > Francesco Caracciolo
Ernst Gaede & T-61 > Leberecht Maass
Gallant & Icarus > Jervis
The Flamu orthodoxy doesn't hold true for everyone.
Was sad seeing how clearly Flamu and nobody in chat ever played Collingwood.
Whatever the case she fits my play style and I can make her perform in battle, and that is what matters.
just got trough the dumpsterfire called qualifiers with the Perth. Definately recommended.
Let's not say Yoshino is a chit ship whitout saying that it's usually chit in rank only. Yoshino chits on everything like nobody's business.
An odd idea make ranked only for tech tree ships and give bonus xp for surviving more than 5 minutes, getting a kill, surviving the game, or getting over 50k damage.
If you choose to play T6 then the other team will also have a corresponding T6. Does not make you an idiot and you are not hurting your team.
Flamuu underestimating graf spee something i didnt expect to see today.
why are nueve de julio and boise ranked worse than helena? i only have the helena and while the dpm etc. are great, the nueve de julio has a heal, no?
"I take back everything I said about Florida being a good ship'' then proceeds to put her in A.
I will choose Huanghe over Perth, which has lower DPM, but better everything else, it is very OP on t6. Mutsu has faster torpedo reload then guns reload, if you want to brawl with a BB and know how to use it, this ship is huge surprise to the enemy.
i like to pick tier 6 because i know im bringing in an enemy tier 6 as well, the plan is to do as good as a tier 7 and hope they dont
Weimar ist Top A Tier! not B lol
Weel. Actually. Guépard already has reload booster on VI...
Yeah but Flamus point was that why take the leander when you can have Fiji
One potential error... Akatsuki conceal is 6.1 you said 7.2, must not have had a captain in it. With the conceal dropping from 7.2 to 6.1 do you change your assessment vs the 5.8 Shiratsu? The + for Akat as you said is highest Torpedo DPM in the game...
actually it is 6.4;) and the biggest problem of the Aka.
Secondary lyon is great!
I think it could be two actual lists: the first is with tier 6 for brawling and the second with tier 7 for ranked
Works great for randoms, but when you need versatility for ranked, lazo falls off considerably. Absolutely hilarious though
good to know that i have atlanta and agincourt in this patch XD
,used to love running up on the rn light cruisers with my Indy, especially the Belfast it couldnt deal with usn heavy 8s
sorry because Belfast didnt have torps and can charge her
Mutsu is a beast with 410mm at tier 6.
And the torps are hilarious
I feel the munchen is at least B and the weimar is C. Munchen is so thin I often am able to brawl BBs in it going broadside.
Really excited to take Huron into silver ranked, especially with the free orca camo!
Dunkerque is such a good ship, you can be first of your team at each match with it
I play Ise for the free plane spotting
Poltava... it kind of just sucked right?
i had a great time in her tbh, you get a kind of semi russian bb with good but not great survivability, ridiculous pen but no overmatch since you only have 356mm guns. her 1km turn radius hurts and you also get only okay-ish concealment.... she is uhhhhh... imo she is not that bad as some people would say she is. lets put it this way: you enjoy and perform good in her? go for it, if not pick something else, easy as that🙂
@@nanotan1938 Sorry, I should have used quotes. That's what Flamuu said...
Do you have to do bronze league again if you made it into silver before the ranks are reset?
you stay in that league you are into it. just start on 10 again.
@@brainletmong6302 true in ranked.... I don't even play ranked lol. Too much stress for me to play competitive anymore.
Fuso is legend
T-61....
I play a lot my shinonome with Yamamoto lol , a lot of fun!
What about huron?
1:07:29
Mysore?
Why Perth and not Huanghe?!?
flamu criminally underrating the aigle
you make brilliant job, many thanks dude!
