Really enjoy Sai's videos, very clear explanation and very natural performance. I noticed he always wears a dark shirt, which is super accommodating for the viewers as we can see his illustrations clearly, it has ensured me to keep watching his videos without my eyes feeling hurt. It's a small thing but such a considering gesture, thank you very much!
As always, a great explanation. I always look for your videos on a new topic that I want to learn.
Sai, very cool, I’ve seen some of your stuff before, you are a smooth and knowledgeable speaker, comfortable with technology and you present it very well - the tie in with Kubernetes and how they work together to deliver that excellent Developer Experience is solid
You are amazing. Well put up and much detailed. Thanks for the video genius.
SAI vennam and ram Vennamm... Both of you are amazing guys.........
How you can simplify a big subject like this? Kudos...
Amazing how well he writes backwards.
the video is flipped horizontally
:-)
Excellent coverage of Cloud Foundry. I like your presentation style. You have the ability to connect with your audience quite easily. I was pretty familiar with Cloud Foundry but decided to watch the video since I’ve seen couple of your other videos, and happen to learn about project Eirini (need to check it out 🤔). Thanks
Glad it was helpful MrChoudhury! We appreciate you watching our videos. -Sai
Best explanation there is. great work
Thanks for a very clear explanation. I found this very helpful.
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Diego/Garden before docker in 2011. mind blown
Thank u very much, it helps me a lot!!!
Excellent presentation style, excellent communicator; as a PM, this explanation really helps me understand at a deeper level much of the verbiage and tools that my developers use. I absolutely agree with MrChoudhury's comment below about Sai's ability to connect with an audience.
Excellent video
Do we have complete cloud foundary video presented by Sai either from this channel or from IBM learning page
Kudos, very well explained.
Great informative video! I'm not in IT but trying to transition. May I ask where would be a good starting point to learn these technologies or does cloud foundry have training?
excellent channel.
Hi, how did you film this, with the "glass board?" Thanks!
Just trying to help :)
Its called lightboard/learning glass. The most interesting piece is that the camera is pointed to a mirror. lightboard.info has the required information.
I can see that he used a camera, a glass board, and a bunch of markers, then he inverted the video before putting it on youtube.
My mind is blown watching you write backwards so much that I couldn't focus on what you were talking about
Hi Sai, Good day! The presentation and the content is really good. I have a question though. If we work on applications and containerize them using Kubectl, then there is no need for GARDEN/ DIEGO, right? The later are used only when developer uses on CF tool to push the application into Cloud Foundry? Kindly confirm. Thanks in advance!
Yes, that’s correct.
Loved it, one of the best explanations of CF. Just a quick question - In this example when the DB gets migrated over to Cloud, does it mean that it would still continue to run an on-prem version of DB but this time on the cloud without leveraging vendor-specific DBs like DynamoDb/Firestore..?
Correct, it continues to use the existing (on-prem) DB; a simple lift-and-shift. You're on the right track -- the next step is to consider migrating the data to a managed DB in the cloud. However, this would require changes to the code.
Thanks for visiting our channel, San
Thank you for your amazing lectures! Can I translate your lectures in Korean? The auto generated transcript is not comfortable and natural. If you allow me adding korean transcription, it would be big help for other Koreans get in touch with your excellent lecture.
Thank you very much for the feedback, Karys! We'll pass it on to our team.
What's the difference between CF and AWS Beanstalk? Are they similar? Apart from the fact that, with Beanstalk the underlying Cloud Infra will only be of AWS and cant be any other cloud.
Excellent explanation of Cloud Foundry . what is this technology you are using ? I think because of this audience can connect with you very easily .
Hi Kalyan: Here's a post we wrote to explain how these videos are created. ibm.co/335YQYY Let us know if you have any more questions and thanks for visiting.
Ok, very informative explanatioin, but I didnt understand, why does it need node.js in the frond end? Thanks
I was developing a Fullstack website and I ended up becoming a cloud expert...
I am following the same path! Don't tell me its not worth it or scary?
How do you compare it with openshit?
What is developer experience
is it something like Openstack ?
OMG He's writing on in the air!
How is he not writing backwards?
very informative video. thank you.
the video is flipped horizontally
Though both aws and cloud foundry are both cloud technology . Why we are using cloud foundry
Looks like IBM doesnt have anymore good communicator for creating training video:).
Thanks for sharing nice videos though. Very helpful
I am planning to do certification, how does it help getting hired?
How did he write in reverse ?!!?
This is industry is becoming unnecessarily complex now. So many companies jumping in with solutions that does not really make sense for the most parts.
I expected more on the containerizing the back-end. Looks like in your explanation, the app & database will run as one container. I would say you skipped many other steps.
Not clear at all what CF is. Why did you bring a k8s setup here? It does not help at all
