SKATE WING!... Court In The Act Ep. 88

- This is Urban Wing Skating. Using a Carver Surf Skate board, we took the Duotone Wing up to the roads and tested it out in some strong wind. It is a great way to get used to flying the wing and dial in your control, especially for turns, tacks and gybes... this really does help so that you aren't learning fresh on the water. It took us a few runs to get is sorted, but the most valuable lesson's are the small ones with one of these wings, holding it above your head for upward lift and making sure that the wing tip doesn't catch on the ground/water etc. Just be careful that you don't burst your wing on the ground as it isn't designed for this...

Glad I had the same idea to learn to wing.
Instead I used my onewheel. The wind isn’t always strong enough. And it turns tighter and feels more nimble like a foil
Hahaha. Don’t even need wind 😂😂🤟
Wow. With correct wing trimming you could get some mad speed going on.
yes man, you could go super fast!! No friction at all!
Wonderful 😍
So fun!!!
Amazing! You should put bands of broad masking tape along the edges that tend to rub the asphalt for protection!
Yea I put half cans medal on the tips. Worked pretty well
@noneofyourbusiness6210 half a can! The metal from a coke can or beer can
Hey, Jan here :D Finally got one! See you on streets // tarmac terror :D!
Yeww 😂🤟
Looking beautiful in there
Yeww!! 🙏🤟
Fuerteventura 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Yea!! good use of it
:)
Nope....thank god....pants, pants no matter how well it’s dressed up with great filming and music. Duotone marketing must love you. I admire the effort. Next. Xxx
I have to say this is the best way I have used this yet! :)

Nice. Can I use my duotone free ride foil 90cm mast and fuse set up but just buy the 1500 wing and a new board to wingfoil? Im 68kg. Or will the fuse be wrong length and the larger wing not be that great compared to other front wings out there for wing dingin. Cheers
A 1500 wing should be fine for wingfoiling. I use a 75cm mast but the 90 is fine. Board should be about 80litres to start with or more
use a piece of plywood...works great....seriously...try it...get two sizes...one for low wind and one for high wind....or blue foam insulation is lighter
can this actually go upwind? easier to go upwind on land or in water?
Yes it shoots upwind!! Easier on land for sure, less friction
what size is the wing?
Think this is a 4m deal inf
Need a advice.. For a boy, 12 years old, 44kg, want try a wing on grass with a mountainboard, 10/15knt the 4mt is right or better a small?
yea man, its not too critical... just need enough wind to drag you along. Obviously there is more friction on grass!!
Got to agree with Norm, yet to see a video where anyone honestly looks like they’re enjoying these wings! Think I’d have as much fun with my coat! Industry led but will die a death very soon. You make great videos though!
good fun on a skate board ;) and definitely a bit better than a coat! for sure there is potential but agree, yet to see the next level on these things! I do think that the foil in general opens doors to things that weren't previously possible

Agree the foil is changing everything. Just spent a long weekend on Isle of Wight, fossil hunting with my kids but will definitely be back for some kite sessions soon!
@@johnharrington9655 proof is in the pulling man. I was on the fence until I had a blast on a ripsurf skateboard in 8/10 kts. Hell of a lot of fun.
Wings aren’t dying any time soon. Check out what Kai Lenny is doing with em.

a piece of plywood works too...so does a piece of blue foam insulation...must have hit 30mph with that when I was 12 years old...keep it simple.
Anything works if you got the imagination ;) 🤟🤟
Thank God I have that insulation stuff, I was wondering why it costs hundreds of dollars for something as simple as an inflatable wing, lol
what?
So good!!
