This makes me so sad. It's been almost ten years since I stepped foot in an abandoned Cane Hill and felt a special affinity for it. I've been a few times and also visited during the early stages of the renovation; it broke my heart to see it all being knocked down. Thanks for the video!
I was a child living on Chipstead valley road in the late sixties and i remember that Cane Hill was a place no one talked about however i fully approve the installation of joy over the exit of suffering.
That’s awesome and project developers kept chapel and tower. From asylum well planned. However it’s still a graveyard. It’s how one looks at it. I’d take a chance still. Looks nice
Nice to see there keeping some relics from the past. New Jersey doesn't really do a good job with its historic structures. We just lost two beautiful hospitals that were well over 100 years old. It's really frustrating.
Whoa nope nope definitely wouldn't live there 😢😱 I knew a few people over forty years that were in Cane Hill for one reason or another .... It was quite a sad place very out dated.....but I loved the architecture of this place 🤓 .... Very few got a chance to explore it or document anything 🕵🏻. But I sure wouldn't live there 🙉🙈🙊
This is a sad sight to witness. I had many good explores here back in the day. RIP Cane Hill

So many amazing memories from shooting super 8mm there and exploring
Great videos. Been many many years since I went inside an abandoned Cane Hill. Sad in a way but glad is going to be a lovely area for homes.

What a shame , used to live in Coulsdon in the 80s / early 90s. It was a unique open space .

It’s lovely, I live there now. Water tower and church have been kept. No ghosts or ghouls, very pleasant.

I remember being in the chapel area and nearly fell down that bloody great big hole in the floor. Rookie mistake.

Not just that but being an asylum they wouldn't be put to rest.. if you look into these places you will learn all sorts of dark and sinister tales
I'd live on cane hill park
It’s really sad to se such an old building get demolished, but the building’s history is just horrible.
