- The Connecting Europe Express was a special train which travelled 20,000 km across 26 countries promoting rail's potential in the EU Year of Rail, 2021. I joined the train between Frankfurt, Leipzig & Berlin. The train is composed of a sleeping-car from ÖBB, a panorama car from SBB, restaurant car from Trenitalia, conference car from SNCF, Intercity seats car from DB and baggage van from MAV.

Good to see that mainland Europe is really exploiting rail travel potential.
Thankyou for showing sir and congratulations for your comeback
Nice vid as always, love the panoramic coach. Defo the way to travel.. Love them old German stations too
I never imagined this composition for a train before; that is really wholesome! I don't care if it can't be sustained for a regular service
So beautiful ! Thank you for showing us , enjoying the trip😊,watching from Philippines !
Whoa, loved seeing the TEE at the very end! Very exciting to see this unique train and what it stands for.
Btw, that wasn't Bald and Bankrupt seated at 2:38, was it? It couldn't be but sure looked like him.
Yeah, it's nice that the VT 11.5 has been visually restored, however, without working powerunit. It has to be towed by another locomotive.
Currently, it can be visited with tours of the interior at the Deutsches Technik Museum Berlin on October 24, 27 and 31.
Very nice video ! Thanks for sharing with us ! 👍👍
What an awesome video !
I'm in awe.... My deep respect !
Dont forgot the British 2car diesel unit full and standing with no buffet ☹️
Beautiful train.
nice video
2:26 pretty cool!
Super awesome 👏
Great video, thanks!!
Awesome 👍👍👍👍 very nice ❤️❤️❤️
That was excellent... :):):)
Great video
Great video like and subscribed from Czech Republic 🙂👍👍👍
Muy técnico y bonito
Awesome
What was wrong with the first car? If it was how loud it was, the 2nd car was just as loud. So it cant be that.
2nd car has better seats and view? The 2nd car does look really nice.
So how were you (or anyone) able to buy a ticket? I never read anywhere that it was possible to buy tickets for this train
The Best of Europe demo train,
Amtrak needs one…
I do wish that more rail videos could have audio commentary. If you can't do it live, it should be dubbed in later. I watch RUclips videos while I am working, and need audio commentary as I can't have my eyes on the video the whole time.
I usually watch RUclips with the sound off - it annoys others in the room or on the train. So captions more important than someone waffling about what you can see for yourself anyway.
@@seat61 Interesting - I watch a wide variety of non-fiction videos. Railway ones are the only ones that are noticeably commentary free, with the exception of a very few railway channels.
Sounds like a great initiative but the name need more work
I noticed the livery on the train is all in English. I'm always surprised how much English has become the international language even in Europe
Why call it the Connecting Europe Express, when PKP of Poland,SJ of Sweden,NMBS of Belgium,NS of the Netherlands,CFR of Luxembourg,Renfe of Spain,CD of Czechia and many more were not included.
They were all included! The train covered 26 countries, hauled by various operators including SJ, SNCB, NS, CD, Renfe and PKP. Renfe provided the Iberian gauge train. NS provided their class 1700 locomotives in NL for example.
Should have a British pacer in the consist.
More people wearing masks in half that video than 45 mins on the tube in London. So depressing
I know. It must be awful to wear them for such a long journey.
I also don’t get why you bring politics into a video that is about trains, there’s no need.
"Connecting Europe EXPRESS" mais il met 10h de Francfort jusqu'à Berlin?! Ce n'est pas ce qu'on appelle un express... On abuse vraiment de ce terme.
